I agree with your point about the fight and it taking another year to develop and make it into a mega fight...that will create plenty of greenbacks for both fighters...

My point is that if you put Khan in with Bradley now or in a year it will make no difference... I think that Khan will beat him...:yep

Khan is to mobile, his hand speed is much better than Bradley's and his defence has tightened up dramatically... It needs a fight like this to see if Amir is ready to step up to the top and to see if the work that he has done with Freddie Roach is paying dividends...

I think he is ready and will win...it is in 12mths that Khan will be ready for JMM...

You miss understand me I just mentioned a number of fighters that are either proven at that level or/are decent contenders at Light Welter unlike Dmitry Salita.
Amir is 23 has only had 2 fights at Light Welter and only faced something like 4/5 top 50 fighters let alone top 10 there so for me still has something to prove. I didn't say he had to face them one by one and pad his record I personally I would like to see Amir fight Nate Campbell or Marcos Maidana next and if he can get by him then I would like to see him against one of the top contenders i.e. McCloskey,Olusegun, Cayo but that is provided that fighter in question has gotten another good win.

Devon Alexander-Mike Alvarado or Joel Casamayor

You're right, it's what's wrong with boxing atm. Like everyone else I would love to see the best fights being made but it seems as if boxing is a much about business as it is about fighting. As soon as a boxer loses he becomes "exposed", "shot", "over the hill" etc. I can understand why young boxers would take the safe route while trying to make as much money as possible instead of risking it against a worthy opponent.

1 belt per division is how it should be.

I would also like to see the best of our prospects take each other on instead of fighting Lithuanian taxi drivers and part time teachers. However, if Prospect A fought prospect B, and Prospect B lost, everyone would probably start saying "prospect B was all hype to begin with, he's a ****, glass jawed fraud that got exposed" etc etc etc.

Khan is young and has a lot of time to step up, no need to rush but like everyone else I would love to see him take on someone like Judah, Hatton, Malignaggi etc. Probably won't happen though as they won't feel he's ready yet. I think JMM is too small for 140.

 

The point is he's a 'World' Champion, so what that he won the title of a weak Champion. If your prepared to be called 'World Champion' be prepared to fight the top boy's. Khan must one of the most protected fighters ever lead to a World title.

 

Imo Khan is as ready as he will ever be another 8 week camp with Freedie should get him to the place he needs to be physically therefore no need for any bull**** learning fights or mandatorys

 

I said something similar a few weeks back, if he's not ready for the big fights then he has no right holding a world title. He didnt really earn the shot at the title and its even more frustrating when any Warren fighter gets a belt suddenly the rankings for that particular belt all change in order to make the defences agains easier opposition that no-ones heard of.

Having "feeler" fights as a WORLD Champion? I've never heard anything so disgusting in my life. If you weren't ready to be a world champ don't step up.

The thing is I think Khan would take 'em all on, and more power to him. He wouldn't beat them all but respect for fronting up and trying to act like a World champ (of a reasonable body) should.

 

He could fight Bradley now but I think the fight needs building. End of next year sounds about right.

 

surely mallinaggi is the best choice at the moment. as a fast box-puncher khan can live easily with they best of them in his division, problem is when they start to bring it big style putting on the heat. paulie cant punch his way out of a paper bag so it would be for decent money, probably on hbo and on a big time bill

 

Hatton was certainly protected more but even out of today's "Champions" Khan isn't the worse.
