Something weird that i never knew about tito's wraps !!!

No there was old harden knuckle pad that had not been made with fresh gauze, margarito's camp described it as Treated gauze :huh?? you know as well as I do that statement in itself does not sound right. Treated gauze ? what the **** is treated gauze? In any case old reused knuckle pads if that what you want to call them, had no business in margarito's wraps.

The only thing wrong the Trinidads did was putting tape directly over the skin and even Atlas said that doesnt have any effect.

 

I will be honest and say that in the past, Iv always suspected pap trinidad of wrapping tito's in such a manner that they became like cast.

 

Something that had no business being there...At least with Tito is was TAPE AND GAUZE...You know the stuff that is suppose to be under the gloves???

This has nothing to do with Margarito's issue and does not constitute a set of loaded gloves. I used the same method as what is described here except I used 2 layers in that same fashion without knuckle pads. We used a thin layer of cotton in between the 2 layers to act as something of a pad but I know it didnt do too much, and with that set up no one was getting butchered with "loaded gloves". There was something different about Margaritos hand wraps that made them more affective. The lack of a knuckle pad, or 4 layers of tape and qauze will not have the affect of an actual loaded glove.

 

By the way I'm not saying Tony's gloves were definitely loaded, but if they were it wasnt because they were wrapped the way Trinidads were.

 

Actually what Papa did was just place LAYERS of tape, gauze, tape, gauze, tape ect.... I've seen this done in the gym a lot but it's not legal for sanctioned pro bouts...it does protect the knucles but it also compacts the area around the kuckles to make it harder.....with larger gloves for sparring that is fine but for smaller gloves it can have an impact.....with Marg I think there were actual kuckle pads that were wet and old guaze that had been wet previously which were dried out and made hard at the time of the fight which was caught.

Show me the rules in which it states the gauze have to be fresh and from what I recall nobody said they were treated gauze, from what I heard they were pre made pads.

But please hit the rule books and find where it says the gauze must be un used or fresh
