its like I said as both a former amateur and now trainer I know as much as you all do as to what is acutally in the wraps or pads themselves.

To me its a bit un certain as to what really is in the pad or wrap, that should have been concluded before handing out any suspensions, The hearing today was a waste of tax payers money, this hearing should have been set in a way that it would break down the events that took place at Staples the night of the fight.

We still have today exactly what we had yesterday, the only difference today is that Margaritos trainer is taking the heat for it, that is it, but we have yet to know what was in the pad or gauze that should have been the states priority since that is what he is in trouble for. what was the purpose of todays hearing? what did they acheive? Nothing its no different than it was yesterday.

Now as a trainer and former amatuer its simple usally prior to fights I myself and the kids I have worked with rarely speak anything, its almost dead calm the whole day from weigh in on to the fight, when getting my hands wrapped I never questioned my trainers style I simply let him know if the wrap was too tight, none of my fighters ever questioned the pads I put on their knuckles or how I wrap the only thing that they let me know is if the gauze or tape is too tight.

I think if there was wrong doing it should be punished to the full extent I agree to this, but the question is what is the wrong doing? you can say stiff pads okay, but what made them stiff? was it plaseter which is Obviously illegal or was it because they were used previously and the dried up sweat made them stiff? which does happen becuase I have pads that I re use at the gym and like I said they are stiff as ****ing boards and some you cant bend until they get a little wet.

its not that I am blowing smoke here, I am simply puzzled at the fact that the state has made a huge deal out of this, its made head lines every where in the sports world, and yet with three weeks of time and after a hearing we have the same thing today that we did yesterday.

I would like to think that the state would have done a better more efficient job in finding out if there was some substance what it was who was responsible then hand down their punishment, not do it back wards by handing out punishments and find out what the **** was later.

Nevermind I found the one Big was talking about. It was a sparring session with Rashad Holloway on the scene of boxing.

    Heres an excerpt.

"I have been hit with 50 million shots in my career and I have never been hit with a shot that hurt like that. It felt like a hard object hit my face, it didn't feel like a normal glove to me, I thought he hit me with his palm. it felt like a solid, hard impact."

"I felt like I had been hit with a bag of rocks."

    ----------------

..Fractured the orbital bone on the right side of his face. He temporarily lost vision. This was in preparation for the Mosley fight.

THe doctor told him there was a possibility he could never fight again.

I have nothing against Margo, I like the guy a lot... im just upset esp. if padding like these are pretty clearly illegal... I could understand a misunderstanding on how to wrap the hands since trainers have different techniques, but the padding come on it wasnt right at all... I cant wait for the suspension to end and see him back in action:good

I have been trying to point this out to people, you explained it much better than I did.

People are acting as if hands wrapping are some simple procedure and the fighter is staring at the wraps the whole time asking "whats that? Whats that? Is that legal? Whats that?"

A fighter is not going to question his trainer wrapping his hands unless the wraps dont feel right.

i'll tell you the real problem...we're actually in the gym like many fighters, while they're just in front of a screen...
it's hard to explain to people that have hated this man since day one...what they say dont bother me, i mean there's only one reason behind this and that's the humiliation he put mayweather thru....but it's all good...fans that only follow one fighter are worthless to me....

floyd hit a girl with his hand (attempted murder), yet you dont hear them saying **** about that.......it was funny how mad floyd got many gatti spoke about it....

i guess abusing woman is part of their culture though....

Its boxing, the sport is a hurting one.

He didnt take the padding out his gloves and plaster his wraps like Panama Lewis did. He used harder than normal knuckle pads, big ****ing deal. Loads of fighters will use excess padding and tape when they have their hands wrap. He did nothing that was obscene or unusual. He just got caught for it

Cotto took a beating regardless, so did Cintron. Neither of them said afterwards that Margarito's punches felt any different than normal. Margarito has a relentless style and is a strong man to begin with, with heavy hands.

I know none of these ****ers know what happens to gauze when you use them and set them aside, I mean ****, these mother ****ers DO NOT KNOW BOXING that is the problem they are sitting in their bedrooms watching their Floyd DVD Career sets gazing on their room full of Floyd posters just hoping Floyd will ask them to have his babies, Especially that Pimp C mother ****er.

Law enforcement has stepped in, Freddy. Criminal charges could be filed against Maragrita and Capetillo depending on the foreign substance/object found in the wraps. Margarita is scewed.

I have no problem with Margarito what so ever, I'll pay to watch Margarito over Mayweather any day and I have much more respect for Margo than Mayweather any day, investigation is still in the process, but right now its not looking good... it seems to me your not training real hard at the gym since you have over 7,000 post, that was a joke, no hard feelings... good luck on your training, but remember fans are as important as the fighter, with no fans no fighters would exist...:good

No question about it......the CSAC makes itself look incompetent in announcing they're suspending Margarito for at least a year, without announcing what exactly he was guilty of......

Capetillo apparently admitted to an innocent mistake on his part......what that innnocent mistake is, none of us have a clue about.

I just got off serving 10 days of jury duty on a domestic violence trial in Los Angeles County........it was a reminder to me of just how incompetent the judicial system can be, both on the prosecutoral, and the defense end of the trial.....
.....I was of the thinking that the ineptness I saw in those 10 days stemmed from people in the business who were at the lower end of their class.....

....apparently I'm wrong......this ineptness runs rampant at every level.....

What the hell is the CSAC doing in announcing suspensions when they have no clear facts of the wrong doing???
They had already suspended Margarito temporarily until the investigation was complete......it is yet to be completed, and they're announcing he's suspended for at least a year.

Why dont these Bozo's just wait so they can get it right, and dont have people from all walks in the sport pointing fingers and making unsubstantiated accusations?

Its sad, but what I believe the CSAC is doing is elongating the process so that they can get more media attention.:-(

When a fighter gets suspended, it certainly would be nice to here exactly why the he'll he's getting suspended.

In essense what the CSAC is saying is that "Margarito did something illegal, we dont know for now what it was exactly.....but what the hell, we're suspending him for a year."

Great. We didn't just find the illegal substance in his pocket. One was already fastened to his hand, the other one in the process of being the same. Which is not at all the same as just carrying a gun. He wasn't playing around, he intended to use them on Shane Mosley. There is no question.
