Thursday, December 06, 2007 LAS VEGAS -- Something's wrong. Columnists are supposed to relate what they know, what they think and what they see in some combination. Based on all three, my guess is something's wrong. If I'm right, then Floyd Mayweather is wrong, too. http://www.mlive.com/sports/grpress/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1196944506276880.xml&coll=6
You think?Mayweather's camp is filled with guys like Ellerbe,a blood sucking "yes boss" type and illiterates like Roger.A pathetic group of characters if ever one wished to assemble.:-(
Yeah I think Floyd has hurt atleast one of his hands, nothing serious tho just enough so he can't train properly, similar to Kessler. A lot of the footage from Floyd training on 24/7 is old footage, and on the new stuff he isn't punching hard...
Do you remember before the "World Awaits", there was talks about Floyd "acting out of character", being nervous by the "big show". I think alot of the 24/7 is meant to make people think Hatton has a chance, because that is why people are going to buy the fight. Remember, in the minds of the promoters, A shitload more people want to see Floyd get his ass kicked then those who want to see Floyd win. Also, the ones that want to see him win, don't need to be convinced that he is going to. But the ones that want to see him lose, do have to be urged a bit :deal
Well if you watch the public workout, he isn't putting any force behind his punches, it just looks so weak, the whole workout... Even when he's punching the big dude with the body belt, usually he's going hard on that guy backing him up, but this time there's no force behind it. I hope nothing's wrong, but it doesn't look that way to me, sadly...
Whatever people might think. I really believe that mayweather thinks hatton maybe able to do some damage to mayweather and he might be concerned because hatton does not throw hooks the speed and angle in which roger mayweather was throwing them.
That made no sense, I'm comparing this public workout to previous ones... I fail to see your point...
Whatever happens it will be a great fight and hatton is ready for war. Their is no point dwelling that mayweather might be injured or not. Maybe this shite with his father is getting to him because listening to him and his mother he did seemed quite pissed of and annoyed with it.
This could just be mind games. David Mayo wrote an earlier article where Floyd admitted he wanted Hatton to think he wasn't 100%. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32399
