Sometimes boxing really sucks

    Agree. I will always feel that boxing is the ultimate combat sport...but the business side is just awful. I would like to think Roc Nation will shake things up, but as you mentioned, there is already bad blood with them and Haymon so we (the fans) may end up getting screwed even more!

    Last year was an AWFUL boxing year and if this year follows suit, it will go on the back burner for me too. I have a ton of hope this year so we'll see how it goes.

    wtf are you talking about? it wasn't a one-sided fight...the scores were 8-4, 8-4 and 6-6. the fight was last year for chrissakes. has the lie/mythology about this fight started already? it was even after 8. if grj could have won two of the last 4 rounds he wins the fgiht....but loma also looked much bigger than him...

    it wasn't one sided at all...it was a competitive fight. loma was the bigger guy and better technically. russell was busier and faster. one judge had it a draw....

    You really are an awful poster, if you think Loma Russell Jr was competitive maybe you need to get some glasses and if have glasses get some new ones.

    it's not me saying it...it's the judges. 6-6 means at least one judge had it a very even fight. stop pretending like you didn't see how competitive the fight was. loma only took over in the last 3 rounds. and that's really because he was bigger and stronger than russell. up to then it was anybody's fight.

    All too often we see the house boxer fighting a fighter who is small can't punch, and has lost almost or all of his fights and the promoters think the fans are stupid enough to watch that ****..............the judges, boxing commission, referee, commentators appear to be crooks..................

    even those last 3 rounds weren't all one-way traffic...grj was still landing his shots. seems like the agenda is to try and falsely paint this fight as a whitewash for loma....well, that would be a lie.

    look, loma won the fight. that's all you get...there is no reason to fabricate schit to make the win look like something it was not.
