You think anyone would give up an opportunity to make a name for himself by knocking out Hatton for a lousy... $5000? I mean, you come on!

Juan just wasn't strong enough, and good enough tonight. Ricky wanted it more, and it showed. That's all.

Ricky was very beatable though, but he's gonna test anyones will, he's not going to make your life easy for you.

Actually, this isn't true. The ref stopped it for another reason which we will probably never know. It was only when he realized that his shoelaces were untied that he really had a legit reason. But the initial stoppage was for the following reason: Hatton was hurt and the ref couldn't let him get KOed.

I mean the ref was 100% ridiculous. Hatton would look at the ref and as if they went over this before the fight, the ref would come in and break up the action. It was pathetic.

I'm not saying that had the ref been fair, Juan would've won. He was clearly gased in the two times he had Hatton hurt and didn't have it in him to finish him but come in, the ref was a joke.

Hatton was never in serious trouble throughout the fight. The whole referee conspiracy theory is frankly laughable.

In round eight Lazcano caught Hatton with a body shot and landed a few shots but it was Hatton who finished the round stronger and almost stopped Lazcano.

In round ten Hatton shipped a big left hook but he ws more off balance than genuinely hurt.

Any suggestion that he could have been stopped after each incident is bordering on insane.

My god you are crazy - and probably a little boy who is seeking attention.

I'm not even going to rebutt the bull**** nonsensical drivel of someone whose hate blinds his judgement. The same can be said for the rest of you idiots who spout the same rhetorical hometown referee garbage.

    It's just laughable.

the referee stopped the fight because lacanzo was holding hatton's head down below his waste whilst punching him. any ref would have warned him about that. and then hatton showed that his lace was undone afetr that, which again is fair enough. i think people should watch the fight again, hatton was nowhere near being ko'd.
