Well, at the very least show some potential to be a world beater, remain under the radar, stay unbeaten or if he can't avoid it take a loss or two along the way then learn from it, then all of a sudden blast out of the anonimity by beating a guy who is heavily favored, better if the guy is a reigning world champion. From then on take a step toward establishing legacy or greatness. Rather than get tremendous hype job early, then take a brutal drubbing which would not have been given that much attention had he been an unknown youngster. And spend all the remaining years of his career hearing criticism about his chin, style, etc etc. Just my two cents.
In a way getting destroyed like that might be better for Khan, his thinking that he can stand and trade with everyone will dissappear and it would be adviseble also his cockyness has to go and with this it's prolly gone
I agree, much like Lennox among others. But I figured being like Pac or Azumah Nelson, who was a total unknown then made a name for himself by his ring exploits seems like a wonderful surprise.
I blame that London gangster Frank Warren,he is the main man behing what happened to Khan, all the stupid hype for a 21 year old kid,all the publicity, title shot talking, cockyness, feeding him cabdrivers till now, promotional contracts,Reebok customized trunks for every fight, did you see his ring entrance last night,he thought he was ****ing Hamed,I hope Warren dies:fire
Khan has got to be the most overrated fighter to come out of Britain, ever. The boy's never had a chin and the guys in my bar who took 8-1 off the internet last night partied well into the early hours. The look on Warren's face said it all PRICELESS !
Cool down bro. unfortunately I havent seen it. It just was a minor shock that after opening the ESB homepage, there was Khan laying on the canvas. And it did not even reach a minute. Boxers are like fruits, you need to consume them after they become ripe, not serve them immediately while still green or it will be sour. I don't know if I made the right analogy.
Well, that's the plus side of being hyped. More money to secure himself after boxing. Let's just hope he don't ignore comments on his chin completely as he should take it as positive criticism and turn into a more cautious fighter with improve defense. Or else, it always gonna be lights out,
no he does care near every boxer has that thing inside them to br the best, the top dog, its the name of the game even though these days the different sanctioning bodies have messed things up the principles are still there ala pound 4 pound.
Sometimes. But certainly not in Khan's case. If he tried going under the radar, he would of been found out early on anyway. The way he went about it, earned him god knows how much money. I know what I would of done in his shoes.
