...saying "This is the guy people thought would beat me, Chad Dawson?"

Awful fight tonight and Dawson got buzzed like three times. Even HBO can't sell this guy, and think of what they did with people like Jermain Taylor.

Calzaghe would have obliterated Dawson. Hell, even Froch would probably lower the boom on him.

Dawson is a solid fighter, but not the future of boxing. As the 3,000 or so gathered tonight could tell you.

    :bbb

It must have been hard for Dawson to 'get up' for a guy he already beat. Dawson is much better thah he showed us tonight.

can you really blame Dawson though

and good point, as look how Malignaggi went from dominating Lovemore in their first fight, to a split decision the next time out.

You guys are both right -- Dawson fights down to the level of his competition. I will concede that.

Unbearably boring fight. Then Glen Johnson fight told me Dawson shouldnt be mentioned in the same breath as Calzaghe. When that Kellerman came out with that (in Awe) "CHAD DAW-SON!!!!!" challenge to Joe after the Jones fight i nearly smashed my TV

He did what he had to do against a game opponent.

Lets not forget that Tarver is still a quality fighter even at the age of 40.

Winning boring fights against worn out old boxers does not sell tickets in the future. Dawson should quit and get a real job.

The same Glen Johnson that Calzaghe ducked three times..:rofl:rofl Yeah..at least Dawson fought him. Your boy Calcrappy's best win is over ****ing Lacy and Kesswho?. ...... ... Dawson is already taking bigger foes at 26. Tarver fought a hell of a fight and he has skills. I dont see Dawson fighting ****ing Manfredo..:rofl:rofl

No doubt, no doubt. Kellerman is such a jockrider. Remember his man-lust for Zab Judah? How'd that work out?

Dawson looks the part, and has speed. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the right beard or the right mindset.

Calzaghe would rip Dawson up. Dawson takes rounds off and just gets bored. Calzaghe would be all over him, confusing the hell out him, and forcing him to react. Dawson would end up like Kesseler, just unable to adjust and totally perplexed as to how to fight Calzaghe.

Dawson aint that special as many have made him to be. Calzaghe and Hopkins both beat him decisively.
