How many years will this "If he beat him imagine what Calzaghe would do" **** go on for? In 10 yrs time Joe will have the greatest resume ever without fighting many of the names on it
lol... Clazgahe must be laughing...thinking "**** I had to face VIET twice Chad had to Face Tarver" "my best 2 wins by that time were Mark Delaney and Eubank, Dawson has beaten Adamek, Tarver Johnson Griffin Harding" " **** Dawson needs to drop his legit world title and get a WBO belt like Zlot Erdiel so he can con people like me"
Calzaghe is in a different class from all opponents within his weight range except Hopkins & Kessler who he already beat.
well look at Calzaghe's first few title fights, is all I will say. They don't quite match up to Adamek, Johnson, Tarver! Dawson didn't look impressive, definitely didn't show any marketabilty, I'll say that in Joe's favour. Dawson should stay away from the old guys as none will make him look good. Cloud needs building up; then Dawson has his "Lacy."
Froch will be slow to win ppl over as he did look raw v Taylor. However he is better than that, and he'll get more credit when he's knocked out Allan Green and the Ward-Miranda winner. Froch definiotely hasn't "skilled up" enough for Dawson though he'd have a puncher's chance as Adamek did. This was the Adamek who forgot all about his jab and skills and was just pure slugger, and he still had Chad down. I'd take Adamek to beat Dawson if they had a rematch up at cruiser. If Adamek got a big win to make him marketable, Dawson would have to come to him an dprobably get sparked up at cruiser.
They are good names yes, but they are 39 and 40, something Joe haters bring up when mentioning Jones and Hopkins even though he was like 36, 37 himself.
Bro, if your going to play the age game let's compare Hopkins and Roy age to Johnson and Tarvers age, seriously dude, most will tell you that out of those four Hopkins is the best mantel on either fighters record. I'm not trying to defend Cal Slappy, but truth is he deserves credit over his win on Hopkins, even though the fight itself was less to be desired.
