Who do you feel fought the better comp, Les Dawson or Joe Calzaghe? We should start a poll, I think Joe might come out ahead, maybe.

I'd say Hopkins deserves the credit. His only losses (disregarding his opening 4 rounder and to RJJ) were one split decision at the age of 40 and one decision at the age of 41 to Jermain Taylor, and one split decision at the age of 43 to Joe Calzaghe.

There will always be someone who would beat Calzaghe.
    Dawson aint on B-Hops level.

Regardless of Dawson's performance against Tarver, it's a pity that we never got to see him take on JC. That would of been a damn good fight.

26 year old Chad Dawson is certainly on 44 year old Bernard Hopkins level.

But Calzaghe is reaching 38, surely beating a 38, 39 and 40 year old proves Dawson is cherry picking Grandads?

The best fighters in his division are old timers. Its not his fault. He beat the 3 best fighters in his division. Adamek, Tarver and Johnson. The other 2, Calzaghe and Hopkins dont want to fight him.

Joe Calzaghe wanted big names and big money to finish off his storied career. So he whipped Kessler, Hopkins and Jones. Lacy had a little Tyson aura about him at the time Joe slaughtered him off as well. Why would he finish off by fighting a guy who was really a no-name. When Kellerman was being his usual idiot self and goading Joe to fight Chad Dawson you could clearly see Joe had no idea who this bug-eyed freak was talking about. He might as well have asked him to fight Elmer Fudd. Joe retired on top with great victories over three great fighters, two older but still dangerous legends; Hopkins and Jones, and one young buck in his prime in Kessler. He has nothing left to prove.

in all fairness Hopkins beat Tarver at 175 before Dawson did.
