I'll admit, that a facking badass pic. Another thing, finally checked out his smith fight.

Is it me or had ward changed his fighting style, now that he's fighting at his natural weight he seems much more fluid and way less of a maul you style.

He fought smith cleanly and fought from the outside, letting his shots go in a far more appealing way. More appealing to the eye, for me anyways.

Anyone else notice the cleanly fought fight ?

Yup, nowhere to go now. Being stuck between them must suck, and I understand him wanting to fight kovalev instead, that's a win win for him where ggg is lose lose.

He knows the casuals would be much more forgiving losing to a "bigger" fighter in kovalev than losing to a fighter smaller. Smart business move on team wards part.

But, maybe he used his years off wisely and came back at his natural weight, but natural weight as being shredded as a lhw.

We'll see what's up. It's very possible ward can't make 168 any longer and spent his off years becoming a very strong lhw. Good fights in the near future..

I still see barrera as a very difficult fight, and one I wouldn't be surprised if he had to rematch barrera. GGG's been teaching barrera the pro game and teaching him how to buy the space he needs to get off.

Barrera couldn't be confused as one with speed or one that can really get off in close quarters. Barrera really needs space to get those arms free to throw his heavy shots.

Good fight, I thought it was a done deal but still haven't heard the when and where yet. Maybe I missed the announcement, but that's a big announcement to miss

 

I did factor that in per his dominance over him, but still really noticed a different fighter in there. It could all be just a showcase but he's fought that level fighter many times and looked far different
