This reminds me of Setanta's boxing coverage, mainly used in some of the big fights in the States. Can just hear Andy Kerr talking over the top of it as the programme started.

    Carl Froch vs Andre Dirrell

My iphone died in Nottingham,so I had no music. I hadn't slept, I stayed out in a Coach park pissed on a bench after the fight. Had to get on a coach to a connecting train station. Cold. Had been awake long enough that even smoking a ciggie was disgusting.

Got talking to some Hairdressers on the Train at about half six in the morning. One of them was talking about her ipod, which she'd borrowed off someone else. Her favourite band on it was Talking Heads, who I like myself. She was listening to this tune, and knowing the song well it made me anticipate my first joint upon my return home and telling my old man of the crazy night I'd had, meeting Jean Pascal,Tyson Fury, Abraham Lincoln, Jesus etc etc

Lucky I have this song to remember it by as I remember no music from any clubs we went to throughout the night. Although I do remember 'Hi-Ho Silver Lining' at the arena. That song irks me though.

The hairdressers were mingers though. That would be my only complaint of the night. However, whenever this tune comes up on my ipod I remember the tranquility of the nigh-on empty train making its way to London and turning up in St Pancreas at about 10 in the morning.

Not really much of a hype song mind. Just reminds me of the fight/night.

This reminds me of Lewis-Botha. Can't remember if Sky played it during the coverage or just on the adverts promoting the fight, but it was on non-stop in the build up to that fight. Watched the fight itself in a bar in Fuertneventura with my Dad on American TV!

I like The Temptations "Get Ready" that Jason Booth has come into that is a great tune...:good

I used to like when Colin Dunne came into the ring to the Sex Pistols...:good

I like the song "War" that is playing when Hagler is on his way to the ring v Leonard...:good

As a kid I used to love the theme tune to Midweek Sports Special, there has been some classic contests on that...:good

But my fave used to be when Paul "Scrap Iron" Ryan used to come into "Any Old Iron" in his flat cap, I loved that, it was proper raw and British. It was a pity he never was good enough to get to the top...:-(

Can you imagine that in the MGM Grand...:happy:happy:happy

If anyone can upload any of the above I would appreciate it...:thumbsup

    Sorry Blue :-(

Not many songs remind me of boxing funnily enough. Obviously if I heard that "chuuunky" song i'd think of that clown DeGale and the same with Gavin's and other songs made in particular for boxers.

Listening to "The Girls Say" by Groove Armada makes me psyched but that was my entrance song.

Oh yeah and Thunderstruck - ACDC reminds me of Gatti

Oh yeah Mexican music makes me think of how top it would have been to sit in the Olympic Auditorium and witness a hispanic fight night with a local champion fighting for a belt :happy

Quite a few then actually
