Sonnen comments on Wanderlei/Leben, is he back?

Now then, my record shows I'm right over 70% of the time, and I don't cherry pick just the fights I'm sure on. I pick them all. Oh, and not only am I right on who wins well over half the time; I tell you how they're going to do it on well over half of those occasions.

At least I have some sort of statistical value to measure my opinions by for the life I waste on this forum.

 

Use common sense. Wanderlei has an active but ineffective offensive guard, his chin is silly putty, and he's never had the least bit of takedown defense. Sonnen takes him down and punches him until his fragile glass mandible breaks. And that's not a testament to Sonnen's punching power but Wand's extraordinarily weak chin.

 

I've hardly ever participated in the prediction league, only once or twice, so the fact I'm not near the top of the leaderboard means nothing.

Honestly though, you're embarrassing yourself on this thread. Sonnen manhandled a striker the size of Nate Marquardt, he would do the same to Wanderlei with ease just like Arona did, and Wanderlei's punch resistance is so bad now that he would surely get the stoppage. Even if he didn't, it would be a hideous, horrible utter domination beatdown of a fight. I think you've temporarily gone insane. I thoroughly expect you to come on here tomorrow and "sorry guys, I don't know what I was thinking". :nut

The man can't take a punch like he use to, but this is stupid. Wanderlei has only been knocked out by big hitters. If he were china chinned, he wouldn't have gone the distance with Rich Franklin, Bisping, and Liddell. Are Franklin and Bisping great bangers, no? But if Wanderlei's chin were "silly putty" one of those guys should have stopped him.

Franklin and Bisping both fight with a safety first sparring style because they're both feather fisted and in possession of less-than-stellar whiskers themselves. As such, they never really hit him with anything big and even so, Bisping stopped him in his tracks once and Franklin put him down with a jab.

Is Leben a big puncher? Yes, but was that a big punch that started Silva's collapse? Absolutely not, it was a sloppy ass arm punch that hit him over the ear and he was staggering like an drunk at last call. If that shot was enough to wobble him, then Sonnen could stop him by beating him up inside the guard the way he did Silva. Sonnen isn't a knockout artist by any stretch of the imagination but the GnP he landed on Silva and Marquardt would have Wand doing the curly toes and his best mummy impression.

I never stated that I would pick Wanderlei over Sonnen. I gave my opinion after hearing what that ****, Sonnen, had to say. Here is what I said:

Then I have someone, whose posts read as though they're written in hillbilly, call me names for having that opinion. I have someone else say that my opinion is "mental." It's not that you have a differing opinion, but the insults that follow.

So you guys want to step to me like that? Then, **** you. If your opinion is so much better than mine, what's your records as fight predictors? I am one of the many that step up month after month, and tell you who I think is going to win a fight. I'm right most of the time, and can prove it.

I'm not coming back on here another day, and tell you I feel wrong for thinking Wanderlei is not a push over for Sonnen. I will continue to post in the prediction league, and will continue to throw my results in the face of anyone that insults an opinion I have about a proposed fight.

You don'y have to be a KO artist to KO Wandy at the moment. Just land ANYTHING and he'sa ll at sea. Sonnen would knock him out, Sonnen probably doesn't KO any other top 10 guy but Wandy is the definition of shot.
