http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/43083906/ns/sports-mma/ Oh just let the ****ing guy fight already!
Has anyone gone from hero to zero quicker than Sonnen. those 1st 4 and a half rounds must seem like another life time
But he hasn't even ****ing done anything to cop this ridiculous ban. This laundering thing is to do with the police, not the commision. Unless he starts selling his opponents property during the match or doing property adverts in the build up, it shouldn't matter. and yes, we know about the steroids thing, but so did Carwin, so did Leben, just let him fight.
His suspension has very little to do with the laundering thing. The guy committed perjury in December by lying whilst under oath at a California Commission hearing about recieving a TUE from Keith Kizer, head of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He has since had to admit that was a lie. California is perfectly right to throw the book at him and if the UFC had any sense they'd cut him.
Oh right, that's different then. I wish he could fight though. He's the most entertaining thing in UFC.
No doubt, this guy took the acting to another level. He should have not got caught up the with the hype of the media. He should of just admitted he was wrong and take the punishment.
Don't think he can perform like he did without the roids, and on top of that hes a boring (dominating) fighter. Nobody wants to watch that. Nobody really cared until he talked **** about Silva. lol
This is a perfect case of poetic justice. Ultimately he did this to himself. His mouth wrote a cheque that his ass couldn't cash. See ya later Sonnen. You won't be missed.
This. He was boring as **** to watch. Compounded even more by audacious smack talk that he couldn't back up.
I advise anyone to read the Sherdog article on the trial. He was practically begging to be let off the hook and said if he doesn't get the suspension removed, he'll be retired. I admire Sonnen's wrestling ability and don't believe in jumping to the conclusion that roids made him the athlete he was in the AS fight, though I do believe Anderson had a rib injury. The guy talked an awesome game and to me, he was very entertaining. A TUF with Bisping... even I would've watched that. He was an entertaining character, and its sad that a Bisping, Wandy or Anderson rematch won't be made.
Im not so sure !! His domination of Mardquardt for me was a big big statement , im of the opinion Sonnen was / is just beginning to " put his whole game together " as a mixed martial artist and i find his style somewhat interesting , he certainly isnt a lay and pray fighter thats for sure , after all he rocked Silva on the feet and on the ground on multiple occasions in there fight . Side note ; I dont have a clue why Mike Bisping is shouting his mouth off about this as the suspension has just saved him a beating of a lifetime :deal
