I personally dont know what to believe... Here is an open debate about it i gotta agree some people make a good case on both sides http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120708020553AA7ENcP Also Bloodstain Lane just tweeted these : - Sonnen vs Silva II was a work - I'm gonna do a video exposing this fight as a WORK What do you guys think ?
The end looked like pro wrestling. I'd say possibly. No way I could know for sure. Travis are you are the professional fighter with the same name?
Yeah that's some damning evidence right there. That spinning back fist from Sonnen definitely looked rehearsed. Plus that knee to the chest sealed the deal. And i doubt the OP is Travis Fulton. If he is he can **** off and find someone else. Fulton is a scumbag piece of ****.
I think people are underestimating Chaels ability to quit when the going gets tough, but some things did look a little dodgy, like the gif of the knock down. I doubt it's true, but a part of me would find it a hilarious irony if it was proved to be a work
you got to be ****ing kidding me that knee to the chest took everything out of Sonnen he never recuperated of it
I gotta agree that this dosent look like a very powerfull punch, but sonnen looked kinda akward defending it the thing that i found surprising is how quickly he got up after the stopage but then again i havent been rewinding it in slomo for the past week perhaps i should look at it again i do understand why people think its fixed, sometimes reality dosent kick in
I think Chael gassed, and after the knee looked for a way out Doubt it was fixed, but I wouldnt be surprised if Sonnen bet his purse on a second round stoppage for Anderson, convicted money launderer and all.
True i gotta say looking at the spinning elbow/backfist theres no way that was gonna land and it almost looks as if silva ducks it before he even throws it but that could just be skill in preemptive dodging
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1CL9bPDeVI[/ame] the majority of comments are for the fix i like these ones : Finally, it's nice to be able to engage with intelligent fans. Damn right the fight was fixed. Look at the facts: Sonnen has been 'training' with Steve Austin for years. It was a secret before Michael Landsberg revealed it on OTR. Dana White has met with Vince McMahon on a few occasions behind closed doors. There isn't one clear still camera shot or video angle that shows how that knee landed. Look at Sonnen's hands during the knee strike. Why is he not covering up his face if he's about to eat a knee? His hands are placed in a way to cover up where the knee is actually landing. It's all well-executed camera work, just like pro wrestling, they hide the controversial impact shots with clever camera angles and camera switching. --- lol i dont watch wwe but that seems very unlikely
nice gif so freaky the way Silva pulls his head back mere centimeteres to totally avoid Sonnens swing. his head movement, balance and reflexes are unreal
No. No, it wasn't. Chael isn't a good striker, that's why Anderson was able to evade the sloppy spinning backfist. It was clear going into the fight, by watching the open workouts, that Chael had been working on some spinning techniques, probably thinking he could catch Anderson off guard. What he didn't anticipate, however, is that Anderson miles ahead of him in all areas of striking, and there is no way slow, one dimensional wrestler is going to catch him with a technique like that. So he fell instead. And got kneed, very hard. I don't know how anyone can watch the replays and not see that the knee landed flush on Chael's chest. He was also rocked by a very quick counter earlier in the round, which was probably the beginning of the end for him. A combination of desperation, inability to land a takedown, and being rocked lead to the finish.
