Did anyone see the Sunday footy show earlier? They were talking to Andrew Ryan, and you could tell he was absolutely devestated, and disgusted at SBW.

It's normally hard for me to feel sorry for Canterbury supporters, but I kinda do atm.
Teke, I'm not sure SBW will become an All Black. As I understand, Australia, NZ, and South Africa dont select players who play in Europe, thats why theres been no fuss about Gaz becoming a Wallaby.

Also, he's in a ****ing contract. He took the contract at the time because he was coming off a few long spells on the sideline due to injury, and many were questioning how injury prone he is, and if he was worth it. Canterbury showed good faith in him by signing him up to a big money contract, and SBW was stoked at the time.

I also agree with many on here about the state of todays game. scrap the interchange rule, make it 4 subs, and once you're off, you're off. They need to **** wrestling coaches out of the game too.

If he wants to play for the Blacks im sure NZRU would give him every chance to as long as he did what they want ie. Super 14s etc.

But im gee'ing ppl up about him becoming an AB cause it's a looong shot

He's not "so big" that's the problem. He's not big enough for a Union forward and maybe too big and not fast enough for an inside centre.

Sonny is probably the same weight as Ma'a Nonu who played inside centre the other night. I reckon he'd go ok but its all just fanboy hope from me :D

If Jerry Collins didnt retire (at age 26 ffs) those two in the same team would be a nightmare for everyone

This is too funny! It should be rephrased to "didn't give him the respect he THOUGHT he deserved"

**** the NRlL are a bunch or ******s...

"If SBW plays just one game of union in France we will ban him for life"

    :patsch

Err hellllloooo, I'm pretty sure that would sit just fine with SBW.

Also, this is getting shiftier by the hour. Khodder is now denying he's his manager to avoid legal ramifications, and the court case will probably be under international law.

So SBW is left hanging out to dry while Khoder hides behind the fact that he's not an accredited player manager

All part of the holy crusade folks :yep

    Heh. In true Nasser style.

It appears the NRL can't do too much about it, except slap a life time ban on him from playing in the NRL which is something Sonny wouldn't have had in mind anyway.

1.5 million a year is a lot for a 2nd division club to offer. I never knew they had that much money to throw around in French rugby, not in the 2nd division anyway.

The NRL is trying to work something out with the IRU (don't know why the NRL think the IRU would do them any favours) but apparently club rugby contracts are different to the international ones.
I wonder if theres been a few strings pulled and things put in motion for SBW to become an All Black, even though NZ don't (to my understanding) pick players outside the Super 14.
If so, I don't know why the NRL would expect the IRU to do anything to stop it from happening.

Khodder giving it to Geyer in a Weidler interview. I might listen to 2sm today at 2 to hear geyers reply on the matter.

Call me a late bloomer, but Weidler is starting to give me the shits.

That woolly-headed sheep Weidler has always been in Mundine's pocket

I'm sure he gets a few backhand payments from him for his friendly interviewing style.

lol @ Nasser's comments on Geyer's pot use - wasn't Nasser involved in some shady drug-related doings years ago, even though he wasn't convicted for them?

What a dickhead, notice how he's trying to turn SBW into a martyr? "Poor Sonny Bill, everyone sitting around here thinking of their own selfish needs" etc.

And the fact that Mundine has a relatively unadvertised fight coming up this week didn't escape me :hey

What about SBW's passion to play SOO?

Surely if the NRL ban him for life he'll be devastated at never being able to see his plan for Poly dominance of SOO come to fruition?

Prima donnas, everyone involved with Nasser and Mundine.
