The only thing that made Gurr vaguely resemble a boxer was the fact he was wearling gloves - and they were pink!

....and people are gonna pay to watch this on the night.
    ....circus!!

Man Gurr looks like an actor. More than a street fighter.

This is funny but it would be even more funny if it ended with Gurr winner by KO round 1 10 seconds into the bout.

Like a Jimmy Thunder type fight.

If this Gary Gurr joker was actually getting in the ring with a boxer, even a bloke with a handful of am fights.. it'd be a very short affair.

People don't seem to understand the difference between mugs and fighters. If someone trained at golf, everyday, every week, for years on end (as would be required for someone to have a handful of am fights than turn pro), and had a game against a bloke with no real experiance other than a bit of mini golf, how would it go? For some reason people think street-fighting = boxing. Street-fighters are ****s. And its disrespectful to the sport to even compare them to boxers.

Having said all that, SBW is obviously no fighter himself. So, it'll probably be a touch entertaining and make mega $$!

On another note, speaking about Jimmy Thunder, I know a run-in he had with a well known individual in the fighting (but not boxing) industry. The end result being that this man (maybe 10-15 years Jimmys senior) put the big Kiwi to sleep. Anyone else heard the story?

People seem to think beating up a well known boxer is something special...

I knocked out a 2 time oz amateur champ(he was champ at the time) at penrith rsl one night..I owned him but im sure if i got into a sanctioned bout with rules he would of boxed my ears off..

    Whole different ballgame.

Hi guys. I know Gary and his family. His father was a tittle holder in boxing back in England. I'm told by a reliable source that Gary was "golden gloves" and never lost a fight in his amateur career. He is tough loves to fight and is fearless. I am going to back Gary ($100) to KO SBW, probably in the first round. Gary was sparring with some American boxers training over here. There trainer asked Gary not to hit them so hard with his body shots as they could not handle the power of his punches. During his training he uses 40lb weights tied to his feet while doing chin ups. Can even do sets with a girl on his back. SBW is in for a rude awakening/quick sleep. You guys in Aussie should do your homework first before commenting and wasting peoples time, ah Melourneborn.

Stop talking BS mate. You say this Gary nobody never lost an amateur fight ? Well is that because he maybe never had any ? I say on the night this bum looks like some labourer off a building site and gases after 90 seconds and goes down. Say goodbye to your $100 :hi:

Yeah it's just a bit of fun on the undercard. It doesn't mean anything. It's just there to sell a few more tickets for Mundine. The mainevent is the one that counts. Keep posting mate. :good

Check out his arm muscles. A couple of good body shots and ...........
We do not have any way of legaly placing bets on that fight over here in NZ. Have Aussie TAB's listed any odds for the SBW fight?

    Cheers

TAB will only take bets on title fights, so no, your best bet (hyuk hyuk) will be an online agency.

Not sure if you can bet on this fight in Oz but i don't recommend you put money on your mate Gary winning :-( because Mundine's people chose him as an opponent for Sonny Bill Williams for a reason.
