don't bother dealing with heavy_handss. he is a very biased poster. he said foreman was smarter than liston in the ring he even said bruno and ruddock hit harder than liston.

I don’t put a particularly heavy premium on a fighter saying A hit me harder than B, but if you get multiple fighters saying the same thing then in is at least interesting. Most common opponents seem to say that Sony Liston hit harder than George Foreman. That would not necessarily mean that Liston was the better fighter. An even stronger argument can be made for Ernie Shavers in this respect, and he isn’t in Foremans league historically.

liston is a better fighter. foreman litterally has no advantage in this.

I think Foreman had more brute power, but Liston had the better technique. Who hit harder? For an on the fence answer Liston was the better KO puncher, but Foreman hurt his men quicker.

I saw some clips of Liston hitting the bag. He made that thing jerk back and forth like few I’ve seen.

george foreman was bigger, stronger, greater, took a much better shot, did hit harder with both hands, did show a much bigger heart, he was proved against bigger, better, stronger fighters than liston did(can you imagine williams and patterson vs foreman? poor guys... just poor guys... however frazier would have a big chance to beat liston, lyle would have been a hell of stylistical macth por liston). foreman did hit harder the heavy bag too( every journalist who saw both men hitting the heavy bag said so), he did not even put his body weight in his shots and still he did hurt his rivals much faster than liston did,(liston was more skilled and accurate so it means 100% that foreman did hit harder). foreman fought even in his 40s, faced much bigger guys than liston did and still his %ko is much better.
and it is for the other ******( OF COURSE THAT LISTON WEIGHED 208-212 POUNDS IN HIS PRIME, and being much more accurate than foreman and still wepner lasted 3 with a green foreman and lasted 9 with liston(just stopped by cuts) proves clearly that foreman did hit harder) dumb****

That isn't what you said. You said he had "several fights where he weighed in at 208 pounds". Which is a lie.

I thought you said he lasted until the 11th? Changing your story again? We shall just hope that when your head is finished turning that your face is to the front again. Get your facts straight.

BOTH were stopped on cuts, amigo. Again, go do a little research. Foreman-Wepner was stopped on a little 4-5 stitch cut over his eye. They stopped Liston-Wepner on cuts that required 72 stitches to close, plus he suffered a broken nose and a cracked left cheekbone. MUCH more damage than George did to him. So all it "proves" is that Wepner had a much nicer referee in the Foreman fight than he did in the Liston fight.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your feelings. You never do. That's why you aren't taken very seriously on these boards and why I suggested you go find a message board that's more on your level.
