    Patterson couldn't have lived with himself had he not granted Liston a crack at the title. Floyd was way sensitive over how he was percieved by the press and the fans over his being "protected" so long by Cus. And when President Kennedy talked to him..it was as a fork in the road for him..he knew he just "had" to fight Liston. Patterson was as sure of victory as a man walking to the gallows.

    I met Sonny as a kid back in late 1964 when he was training for the rematch against Ali...
