Hes a damn prodigy... who cant read or comprehend basic talking points. Like Einstein, or Hellen Keller.
What are you talking about ? Floyd Patterson may not have had the chin of Ray Mercer but he was damned difficult to beat.I suggest you have a look at his record. Cleveland Williams was perhaps the most feared puncher of the 1950s/early 60s.Sonny's two victories over Cleveland is a tremendous achievement.
No.Honestly I really cannot believe you are failing to grasp this.Nobdy on this site is saying that overall Sonny liston gave Ali his toughest fight. However the fact that Ali at one time stated that Liston did give him his toughest fight proves that Sonny put in an excellent performance despite the crippling condition of his shoulders.
For a start no man who has the courage and skill to make a living out of professional boxing deserves to be called a '' bum ''. Secondly Marshall may not have been, shall we say, a tier one fighter but he was a seasoned professional. It is not remarkable that he gave a raw beginner like Sonny Liston a broken jaw. What is remarkable is that such an inexperienced fighter like Sonny had the courage and determination to fight on with a broken jaw.
And that is what people forget. And he still EASILY crushed Patterson. Many people have thought Liston was way older then he claimed and people forget that as well.
Nothing that proves that, besides that, how he can blind multiple guys not on purpose? Your hero exppsed again.
Sonny Liston has kind of a sad story - took him years to climb the ranks and get his shot and then turns out the public didn't accept him or really want him so he was costing promoters/managers money.
