So you first said that he retired because back injuries now you are changing the story.
In July, after experiencing pain while playing with his three-year-old daughter, Marciano checked into a hospital and was diagnosed with a ruptured disc in his back. In October, at a press conference in Washington, when asked if he really intended to stay retired, he replied, "Sure."He was suffering from a bad back, one that made the ordeal of getting through a training camp so much harder – Marciano would put himself through incredible pain and suffering in each and every training camp he had, this before his back began playing up. His manager Al Weill was taking far too much of his purse money.

Even if he was not shot he wont do anything that he did not.
And Lyle had the same thing before even hit his prime unlike Williams, Lyle fought wounded his whole life.

I didn’t say Marciano retired because of back issues. YOU did. Lol. Wow, just when I thought you couldn’t become more nonsensical. Pointless.

This is what I mean by Rocky Marciano fans being the most biased and delusional people you will ever talk to or see in your life time. Most of them aren't legit boxing fans to began with. Second if they do watch boxing they are just casual fans who don't understand the sport. They all live in their little fantasy world where a 180 pound boxer could compete against any modern sized boxer. They all will tell you size doesn't matter which is funny because if size didn't matter then why are their weight classes? Also if size doesn't matter when Floyd Mayweather Jr could beat Rocky Marciano since he is far more skilled.

Rocky Marciano fanboys also constantly lie to try to prove their point. They make up stories to prove their point. They will tell you that Rocky Marciano punched harder than any 200 pound boxer. How do they know this? Well they don't, but that isn't going to stop them from lying. Why would any real boxing fan who wasn't biased assume a 180 pound boxer could puncher harder than a 220 plus pound boxer?

These biased fanboys will tell you that Rocky Marciano couldn't be hurt. Which is funny since natural 160 pound 40 year old Archie Moore knocked down with one punch, natural 180-190 pound 40 year old Jersey Joe Walcott knocked him down with 1 punch and natural 160-170 pound Ted Lowry beat Marciano from pillar to post and all most knocked Marciano out and had to hold back to avoid knocking Marciano out.

Sonny Liston by brutal 1st round knock out similar to how Liston beat Floyd Patterson.

I’ve been reading some of your posts.

You like to portray people as being ignorant and biased. And yes, sometimes they are. But the ironic thing, is that you yourself can be both ignorant and biased.

You also like to block people that don’t share your opinion.

    WTF is that all about?

    It’s a boxing forum.

Instead of blocking people, come and tell them why you believe that they’re wrong and that you’re right.

    Have a debate.

If you’re going to keep blocking people who don’t agree with you, then your blocked list is going to be bigger than your post count.

    I don't see any difference between 32 or 37 years old Holyfiled/Lewis/Wlad.

What does that have to do with anything?

    All fighters age differently.

Look at Roy Jones from 32-37.

    32-37 is same as 27 and 32.
    Both age differences are same.

    And?

Age and ring age are two completely different things.

    How is it laughable?

    What are you talking about?

Bernard Hopkins was great at 36.

Mike Tyson was completely shot at the same age.

Every fighter ages differently, depending on their styles and their circumstances.

Yes, you may not have noticed much of a difference with Wlad between the ages of 32-37.

Yet there were very noticeable differences between Ali and Roy Jones within those age ranges.

This. It's basically hero worship or Napoleon complex delusions to think a man Rocky's size with an aggressive high volume style would have any more than a slim punchers chance against men like Liston, Tyson, or Foreman. It would be like a cape buffalo trying to clash heads with a rhinoceros. Doesn't matter how much heart and determination the buffalo has, it's a suicidal clash of styles.

I could maybe see Peak Rocky beating the disinterested alcoholic old version of Liston far past his prime, but any Liston whose remotely in shape and motivated is going to bring so many things to the table Rocky would struggle with. The reach, the telephone pole jab, the bludgeoning uppercuts. It doesn't help that Rocky was neither fast, nor a defensive wizard. He's fighting fire with fire. People often bring up Rocky's stamina and work rate ignoring the fact Liston actually had decent stamina and never gassed. If Rocky's stamina was a 10, Listons would be no lower than 8. The fight also may very well end before any slight advantages in endurance come into play.

Marciano trying his fouling techniques against Liston......well that could get interesting, set those Marquess of Queensberry rules aside for a moment me thinketh, Mr Liston will be too busy to read them.
