Does Sonny Liston go undefeated against the ATG HW Swarmers?

    How does he fair against

    Tyson
    Frazier
    Marciano
    Dempsey

Liston is a powerful slugger/boxer-puncher, probably the only of his breed that would be favored against the pack of ATG swarmers (For his style, and one being not a super-heavyweight). Foreman would be next but many believe that he is a very slight favored against Tyson at best. Now that I think about it, besides Ali Liston would probably be favored over this group the most out of the non super HW's.

How does Sonny do with these group of guys?

No arguments from me regarding Sonny, I personally pick Foreman to do a number on those guys, including Tyson, also.

While Liston and Foreman arent as tall or heavy as the Super Heavies, their tale of the tape measurements (fist, forearm, thigh, neck etc) are very comparable to the Lewis, Klits, Bowe types

He might be able to make full use of his size advantage against Marciano and Dempsey, but I don't know about Frazier or Tyson.

I'd pick Liston to beat all four.

Liston would beat Dempsey, Marciano and Frazier by kayo.

Only Tyson might be in with an outside chance to beat him. But I would heavily favour Sonny to stop Mike too.

he beats them all normally. compared to dempsey and marciano he is to big and strong (also the far better boxer) and regardign frazier : joe was a brave guy but could only box forward, and against sonny that is suicide for joe. as for tyson : mike was probably almost as strong as liston and faster. defensive they are porbably almost as good (i slightly favour sonny) but sonny was the better technical boxer and in this case also the mental tghing would come up.

Liston's super long-range jab, plus his body shots will put hurt on all of them.

Yes he would. He would beat joe frazier the worst out of all of them.

Fights with Dempsey and Marciano could go either way. Would favor Liston just a little over Frazier, and Tyson just a little over Liston; but either fight could easily go the other way.

Would favor Liston over John L. Sullivan if they're time-machined together, but Sullivan if they came along at the same time.

I really struggle to pick anyone that isn't a mover over Liston.

I'd give Tyson and Rocky the best chance against him. I could see Tyson take advantage of his speed, and I can see Marciano wearing down Liston over 15. I can see Marciano wearing down anyone though, it's not a slight to Liston.

Wow you people are actually picking Marciano to loes, amazing. Anyway Liston never beat anybody nearly as good as Tyson or Frazier and he wouldnt beat them in a fantasy match up either. They both would stop him in the mid rounds.

While I would favour him over each of them I suspect that if he fought all four he would likley get beaten at some point.

come on man. joe ( and i really like frazier) is no match for liston. all wrong for joe. he could only box forward. well no one can do that to sonny. with that long powerfull jab of him. fraziers heart and stamina will get him to the midrounds but by then it will be all over for joe.
