Satterfield has a punchers chance against almost anyone, but not a prime Liston who walked through Williams best artillery.

This would probably look very similar to both Cleveland Williams bouts Liston had.

Bob gets stuck in and would definitely have Liston thinking *wow, this mutha can hit *!
But sonny gets stuck in right back, and puts Bob on his in around 5.

Hey my video! (Wth?? How come I never noticed this thread?) So I actually here's my thoughts of how the fight would go:

Firstly I always tell people that Satterfield would fare well against jabbers. This is mainly becuz Satterfield has a terrific counter right. Pretty much everybody who has a good jab has tasted Satterfield's right on to their faces which most of them were drop hard to the canvas (Johnson, Valdes, Charles & Layne). But the problem is that Liston's reach is 84 inches, the longest reach that Satterfield fought is against Valdes which is 80 inches. So I think Satterfield is gonna struggle more considering never fought anyone with that kind of reach.

Two, Satterfield has the advantage in speed. His handspeed is superior so he's more than capable in beating Liston to the punch. He's a very good all around puncher too, he knows how to fight aggressively moving forward (Charles & Layne) and equally capable fighting backwards (Baker & Brothers). If he could lead Liston to a counter left hook (0:48 of the video). I think he has a chance of winning.

Three, Satterfield is no Williams. Yeah Liston survived Williams best artillery but you can also point out the fact he was hurt by Ali, Folley and even Marshall. Satterfield, unlike other who Liston fought.. is a first rate finisher (we're talking about Tyson level finishing skills). Satterfield's ticket to win is to go to the body (which he did against Frankie Daniels & Bob Baker). Make him reeling from the bodyshot and quickly go for the head.

But of course, this is just some of the points of how Satterfield could beat Liston. At the end of the day I would favor Liston heavily too. I think Satterfield would shook Liston couple off times of the ropes while Liston's on the way finishing him. The fight would probably end within three rounds which most of the action came in round 2 and Liston finishing his man in round 3
