Wilder is the biggest puncher ever... because Luis "I went to High School with Jesus" Ortiz and Dominic Breazele say so.
Wilder has knocked out everyone he's faced as a pro over a 12-year career, and a five-year title reign, except for the 6'9" 270-pound current World Champ, who he's had down twice and is fighting again next. And hasn't outweighed anyone in nine years and still knocked them all out. Do you have any idea how difficult that is to knock out everyone you fought? Because no other heavyweight champion in history has done it? So, clearly, you don't. Should we go down the list of all the journeymen guys Liston, Shavers, Foreman, Marciano, etc., never stopped? There are some real stinkers on there that are a helluva lot worse than Tyson Fury. Hell, Liston lost to a freaking journeyman light heavy. The biggest guy Liston fought was Wepner, and he couldn't even put him away. Hell, Buster Mathis stopped Chuck. Wilder destroys Sonny's stationary head, if Sonny isn't looking to take a dive before that lethal shot lands.
Taking a dive is actually far LESS embarrassing than blaming a loss on your ring walk outfit, egg weights in gloves, and spiked water.
My grand father who is no longer with us, and boxed in the army and was a big boxing fan. Always said to me Liston was the toughest and best HW he had ever seen. He was born in the early 1920s so lived through the Louis, Liston and Ali eras. I trust people who live through the era and know the sport to give me an accurate view. You can only tell so much from watching footage, reading reports and looking at records. It was very sad what ended up happening to Liston.
bro dont even try arguing with those fools, they just over read what you are saying and then ignore it cause it doesnt fit their narrative, let those 40 year old fat sissys have their 15 minutes of joy a day.
Yup, very much so Check out this article https://www.quora.com/Why-does-Geor...-any-boxer-like-Mike-Tyson-and-Rocky-Marciano https://www.google.com/search?q=for...hUdAWMBHY_oAAUQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=360&bih=630
Liston would beat him a la Cleveland Williams. Wilder might land a few decent shots on Sonny but not enough to put him down, and Sonny would block, parry or slip the majority of Wilder's outside work (Liston's defence and ability to intelligently close distance is often a bit underrated) while walking him down with his jab then going to work with big clubbing combos on the inside when Wilder's back's to the ropes. Sooner or later he gets through with a big one to the head or Wilder just crumbles from the constant onslaught.
