Sonny Liston vs. George Foreman

I would favor liston....he could crowd foreman like he did willams and use his better compact punching...perhaps

 

Agreed, prime Sonny was a killer, especially to a man coming at him

 

Liston by KO. It's a shame that Liston is so underrated due to those shady fights with Ali. Most casuals don't know that he was around 40 years old and took a dive.
Liston has far better fundamentals than Foreman, his punches were more crisp, unlike Foreman's wild haymakers.
Plus Liston also has a far better jab.

First thing about Liston backing Foreman,It was green Foreman 17 years old not even mature and fully grown!Quarry also beat that Foreman in sparing!Next time they meet Foreman beat Liston in sparing and Foster also knocked Liston!
No one could survive if he come right at Foreman!Liston is not good with headmovement,even Frazier with great headmovement was caught!Frazier chin was better than Liston!Cleveland Williams?Cmon overrated,didn,'t beat anyone notable except green Terell,glass chin,even LHW Satterfield knocked him as fast as Liston!It is stupid to compare Williams with George!George is bigger,stronger,better chin,better heart,better punch...George was never knocked by LHW and Williams was!

Did anyone mentioned that Liston was knocked by Ali and Martin,quit against Ali,Marshall broke his jaw,was knocked by LHW Patterson and Foster in sparing!
Foreman was never knocked in sparing and in his prime was knocked out by Ali!
Foreman also said Lyle is the only one who backed him up in proffesional bout!
And Liston is close to Frazier and Norton in size than Foreman!
They would trade and George is the one with better punch and chin!Liston only could run and win/lost UD like Young did but that was not his style except if he change the tactic!Liston would come right at Foreman and his defense is not great and he would take those powershots!
Foreman would killed him inside of 6 rounds!
