I'm saying his reach advantage would cancel out Frazier's pressure. That alone obviously wouldn't win out.

The only advantage smokin Joe has is an unquestionably huge heart.it isn't enough.

The first person to knock Frazier down was Mike Bruce.

You might be selling Joe a bit short. He was unquestionably the better inside fighter. Better body puncher and probably conditioning. Not that Liston was poorly conditioned in his prime but Frazier had uncommon stamina.

I favor Sonny Liston as well but Joe brings quite a challenge to the table.

he IS selling Joe short. Not "Might be selling Joe a bit short" Frazier had better punching accuracy. He also has probably speed over Liston.

well sonny really wasnt prime when he wont the title. Prime joe has more than sonny in every aspect apart from the ferocious jab, and the intimidation stakes.

prime sonny, vs prime frazier would be better.

only Ali made liston look slow.
I can't see smokin' Joe making much progress inside with liston.
Liston would rip Joe to bits with his uppercut up close or control the fight with his jab.
Joe was kept away from a past it liston in the late 60s for good reason

Yes. Liston's speed was very underrated. Especially in his prime. Angelo Dundee once said Liston was just as fast, if not faster than Mike Tyson.
