Well looking at average fans scorecards on Eye On The Ring, a majority have Mildenberger winning about 3 rounds which is in line with judges scorecards. He had a good spell early on and then Ali dropped him 3 times made a mess of his eye and stopped him. As I said in previous post if Usyk stopped a 49-3 ranked number 4 Heavyweight and had him down 3 times along the way, fans would be praising his performance all over the forum. Chisora/Usyk was more competitive than Mildenberger/Ali, and Chisora wasn't ranked in the top 10 with almost 10 losses.
Well, i doubt Mildenberger fanboys are rampant online, don't you? I didn't say otherwise, still he gave him trouble and outlands him in more rounds than not. And I said, not if he was 195 pounds he wouldn't.
I think 7-4 is more accurate but 8-3 isn't too bad a card, but a 5-4 card after nine is reasonable (obviously if it was 10-8 must it's different)
I don't see what that has to do with anything ? alot of people have Norton over Ali in their 3rd fight and Ali has way more popularity than Norton. If anything Ali has alot of fans but also has his fair share of detractors aswell. I would say 7-3 for Ali is a very fair scorecard, and Ali dropped his man 3 times along the way. I would find it a bit of stretch to have Mildenberger winning anymore than 3 rounds. i would say 4 at the most and that's being a tad generous. Well you can't make that comparison because Heavyweight's are alot bigger now, and there wouldn't be a 195 pound Heavyweight that would exist in his era. That doesn't mean Ali dropping a ranked 4 contender 3 times and stopping him isn't a solid win. If you want to put it into a different context well if Usyk were to stop a "Cruiserweight" who was ranked number 4 with 49-3 record and dropped him 3 times. Then yes Usyk would get a ton of credit for it. It's not like Usyk hasn't had his fair of competitive fights, the fight vs Michael Hunter Usyk lost about 4 rounds and had difficulty early on. the Breidis fight could've gone either way aswell i scored it a draw. And finally as I've already brought up Usyk arguably lost 5 rounds to Chisora.
I've just looked, it's 50/50. I think the reality is more 60/40 in Kenny's favour myself. Maybe even more? I've done the Ali Fanboy thing myself anyway so know how some of these fans are. Some never grow out of it either. Fair enough. I think it's pretty clear that i've stated it's a close fight until around the 8th or 9th round. Then the bigger, stronger guy solves the southpaw puzzle. Fair enough.
Just to finally add I agree that Norton vs Ali 3 is about 60/40 in Norton's favour regarding fans opinions, I myself think it's a very close fight but I had Norton winning 8-7 for what it's worth.
I had Norton at least 9-6. You want to know who won that fight? Watch Ali and Nortons reaction at the final bell. Ali's body language said it all., he knew he'd lost.
Continuing against Ali was hopeless. Sonny was gassing out and Ali did not seem to be stopping anytime soon.
