He would keep walking into Liston's jab and right cross. Liston is the superior boxer and has a lot of power himself. Liston wins a decision or stops him.

 

I voted for Baer just to be contrary.

Currently reading a Max Baer book...still picking Liston but I’m not confident about it. Especially if it’s a brawl. Baer beat some good boxers at his best but had problems with men he should have beaten so who knows what Baer shows up? Some mentioned Max pulling a quit job...they’re both kind of guilty of that when propped against really fast people. But Liston isn’t fast and Baer is only fast in spurts. picking Liston based on his stamina. Think he would tire the Baer and win a decision.

I favor sonny. I just think that 81” inch reach with that hard sharp jab behind it would tear Max up especially given Baer’s Poor defense and tendency to leave himself wide open.

 

Liston is just overrated here !!

 

Liston was the better puncher and by far the better boxer, dont see how he could lose against baer
