Bowe probably? Liston marched into the inside habitually and had no idea what to do there, Bowe would take what he had to, they’d end up at close quarters and Riddick probably just shreds him up.
Once again Sonny is being underrated by the usual suspects.I'm a fan of Riddick but I can see Liston winning this one.
Underrated? I just have a different opinion, my opinion is that of all the HWs at the top he was on the lower end, probably middle of the pack. I don’t see what you see I guess - break it down for me?
I asked you to break down why you think he was “underrated”? - I said he has no idea what to do inside because he can’t fight there in any fight I saw, at least not impressively enough to notice.
I could counter your argument by saying I never saw any fight in which Liston was clueless when fighting inside.
Liston by TKO/KO roughly 7-8 rounds. Sonny was a significantly better boxer than Bowe with more punching power.
Liston by tight SD but his face would look like potato since Bowe had good stamina and output. In triology Bowe would win one fight, Liston would beat him twice. It would be like: 1st fight- Liston wins by SD 2nd fight Bowe by UD 3rd fight Liston wins by TKO.
I see Liston stopping Bowe. Bowe's defense was incredibly porous, especially when on the inside where he was supposedly some sort of savant. And his penchant for avoiding big punchers during his career tells us something about his durability. When Liston outmatches him jab for jab, Riddick would revert to a free swinging brawl which is where Sonny would hurt him and ultimately finish him.
Sonny liston beat nothing but cowpokes. He took the greatness test twice and failed both times. One by quittage. Once a quitter, always a quitter. Bowe had no quit in him. Absolutely none. He'd swing with Sonny till he shattered his glass chin all over the ring matt
