No matter. Charles then impressed with two filmed demolitions of Bob Satterfield and Coley Wallace which enhanced his “logical contender status”. You can’t do anymore than that.

What is "logical contender status," and who is it officially recognized by?

He make this **** up as he goes along ,and then gets hurt when he is called on it.
I've followed boxing for 65 years ,and in that time nobody has been a more logical contender than the man ranked NUMBER ONE!

Is "logical contender status" another way of saying "The public wanted to see this fight"?

Is this an official label that Ring Magazine gave back then?

Is it a label Choklab himself coined?

National Boxing Association. The only official ratings of the day.
Formed in 1921 in Rhode Island, USA, the National Boxing Association (NBA) became the World Boxing Association (WBA) in 1962. (It is not to be confused with the current National Boxing Association, an unconnected body

So "Logical Contender" is the official title bestowed on Charles by the organization that sanctioned Marciano's fights?

    OK, then.

Did you already post the cite for where this official status was recorded?

Because it’s just a magazine. The Ring are usually a pretty decent guide but the magazines were months behind. The published month is often in the wrong edition..and the end of year annual ratings merely “the month ending the year”. If you want true chronology look at the quarterly published NBA ratings which are official.

@klompton2 explained this to you a long time ago.
