two monsters. will listons jab take control of this matchup or does lyle take sonny into deep waters with his big rights?

Probably Liston pretty wide on points in a fight that isn't as much fun as it sounds.

i think it would be a slam bam matchup.even better than it sounds. lyle soaks up the liston jab and forces liston back with big rights then liston takes him out probably round 7-8 or maybe the other way around.depends on which lyle and liston shows up.

this would be a hell of a fight and sonny's jab would be the key.he'd win but it wouldn't be one sided

I Give Sonny the edge to win...Lyle started late and lost the big ones and I remember Quarry giving him a working over...I think Sonny had the better talent and Lyle was bigger...Sonny hit harder

Sonny by mid-rounds tko. Liston is the superior fighter, being able to box and punch with both hands. He also had a monsterous jab, with which i read someplace that he knocked out 7 of wayne betheas teeth.

I know that if foreman could beat lyle that there's no question that liston could do it, being technically more sound and punching just as hard. Combine this with the fact that lyle didn't exactly possess the sturdiest beard in history.
