Jack Dempsey: Liston destroys Dempsey. Liston, at just over 6', is too close to Dempsey's height. Jack wouldn't be able to avoid his punches the way he would avoid the lumbering punches of much bigger men, at least those of his day.
Dempsey would have the edge in speed but he wouldn't be able to hit Liston hard enough to keep him at bay or discourage him for too long without taking some return fire. Liston is clearly stronger, though Dempsey is the sharper puncher.

Joe Louis: I go back and forth on this a lot. It could go either way, Louis was technically better and a very powerful man himself so I edge toward Louis at the moment , however one shot from Liston could change all that.

Rocky Marciano: As much as I love rocky, the only physical advantage he has in this fight is endurance and it's not going to be a factor cause this isn't going past the middle rounds.

Joe Frazier: Liston had power on par George Foreman but was a more accurate puncher and had a longer reach. He wouldn't need to push Frazier back to create room. He would use his jab to create room. Liston by KO.

Mike Tyson: See the Douglas fight? Liston had the same jab. It was almost identical except Liston's was much harder. Add that, and the fact that, like Douglas, Liston would have no fear of Tyson. People always talk of Tyson's bobbing and weaving but the omit the fact that he only did it for a short time of his career and for just a round or two. Nearly every time a fight went past three rounds, Tyson abandoned his defense abilities. His stamina was never good, even during his prime.
Sonny Liston was everything Tyson wishes he was.Liston was tough and a true bad man without having to say so.Sonny could box and go the distance without much of a problem.Liston had a great chin and the best jab in heavyweight history. His power was equaled by very few and maybe only Foreman could match him there. .Liston would pound the smaller Tyson around the ring and do what nobody ever did with a prime Tyson and that's dominate him.Sonny takes this in no more than 5 but probably ends this much earlier by 3rd round knockout.

Evander Holyfield: Sonny via TKO late.

Evander is too proud and big-headed to keep evasive of Sonny's power. As said by Emmanuel Stewart who coached Evander - 'He's the biggest egotistical fighter I've ever met.' THAT'S why he has the big heart...it's a big head! He doesn't want the other guy to have one better than him and therefore trades (ala Bowe).

Both Klitschko's: Lol. This isn't the comedy forum!

Who cares. Tyson beats them all, in one night, combined, within one round, tearing through them all like one ply toilet paper. Yeah, yeah, Sonny Liston I'm coming for you!

    They usually do, Lol.

IMHO the fight would be lost as soon as Sonny gives him that totally blank stare. After all it did against that other protege of D'Amato.

I don't know about tyson, you seen how Williams was bombing on liston early and he doesn't hold a candle to mikes power. Also Tyson's style is made to neutralize jab early, he could very well get sonny out of there quickly.

Yes Williams hit hard but he never could tag the best, elite fighters with his best punch. When he went up a level he found better fighters harder to hit with his best punch than the guys who he did knock out.
