Cunningham was great? This is based on? Louis was knocked down by multiple light punchers? Who would they be?

Then how come Wlad didn't make a dent in Fury, yet he dropped Joshua much later and even older? Loads of people who fought him say Wlad punches crazy hard. If non punchers dropping Fury was an accurate representation of his ability, Wlad wouldn't even need to land close to clean to KO him, which was why so many people gave Fury no chance against them, and he proved them wrong. So much of taking a punch is anticipating it. Fury in his early fights goofed off, and put himself way off balance, both of those guys had pretty fast hands so they could catch him at the right time

No way does Fury punch nearly as hard as Liston. Haye was a Cruiserweight, and he clearly punched way harder than Fury. Fury is bigger, but he's not very explosive, and his punching mechanics are terrible in terms of putting weight into them.

But he's so big that in this matchup Liston would definitely feel his power.

Cunningham is a guy about listons size. 6'3 210 and absolutely shredded, he is also a champion a very tough guy who was never stopped before or after but fury just pounded him into submission because he was so BIG.

Prime Liston was no defensive genius either and was definitely not used to or comfortable with facing another great jabber who has a reach advantage.

Liston is dealing with too many things here that he didn't have to deal with in his own era.

I actually think Patterson might be worse for Fury than Liston!

I can't even imagine how hard Tyson Fury would get knocked out in this fight. It would be criminal.

Zech is also a legit 6'5", since he's very close in height to Terrell, who was 6'6".

Sonny Liston is a legit 6'1"

    Liston and 6'1.5 Louis.

Stephen Espinoza himself describing Wilder and Fury by their actual heights.

"Wilder vs. Fury is a really intriguing fight both because of the styles in the ring and the personalities outside the ring," Espinoza told AP. "Deontay and Tyson are two of the most likable and most entertaining characters in boxing. But all the entertainment aside, it is a high-level heavyweight fight between two of the top guys in the division and two huge athletes at 6-foot-6 and 6-foot-7, the two tallest and biggest guys in the sport today."

I was showing them against similar sized opponents, which was difficult, since most of Fury's opponents are fat slobs. I didn't use Chisora because Chisora is far from being a highly conditioned athlete. Chisora is a good puncher and he can fight, but he's always underachieved due to his excessive weight. If he ever bothered to get in shape he'd be twice the fighter at 225 to 230. Also, Fury hardly improved that much. The Fury from 2010 would've still beat Wlad in 2015 and would've always beat Chisora.

This. Cunningham was a good fighter and I enjoyed watching him fight, but calling him great is really pushing it.

Stop lying you picked than because it wasn't when Fury was at his best, and you wanted to make him look bad to fight for your side, instead actually being honestl.

Hammer achieved atleast as much as Cunningham at Heavyweight, and Chisora achieved way more, it's not even close, plus both are miles better than Zack Page, who Fury fought when he was 22 and had only been pro for a couple years.

And he improved a ton, he beat a far better Chisora, and beat him far more clearly, making it a painful to watch one sided beat down. Anyone who's vaguely honest says he improved a ton.

The weight shows nothing - especially the fat weight and i think every version Tyson Fury was fat- about the power. Best examples; Rocky Marciano he was small but powerful or Zuri Lawrence who was a big fighter 6'4" and 230-240 pounds but his ko percentage is absolutely 0% -0 ko /44 fights- and basically he fought nobodies .
Between Liston and Cunningham the power difference is incredible.
-Just the ko percentage can't show the correct power without other factors but Cunningham's 13 kos/39 fights
ratio looks painfully weak considering his some opponents' quality.
Otherwise Cunningham is much more lankier than Liston who looked like a tank and he was a big boned
    fighter.
All in all Tyson Fury's Cunningham version fight strategy against Liston would be a boxing suicide and Cunningham never was a heavyweight world champion !

Most of Liston's rated opponents would be cruiserweights today. It's difficult to know how he deals with a skilled big men of 250+. I doubt his power would be as devastating for one.

Maybe the Wilder fight will humiliate your opinion considering the skinny Wilder isn't bigger than Liston (taller yes) by weight.

Liston doesn't have Wilder's height or reach and Wilder is heavier than Liston who never cracked 220 in his prime while Wilder has been as heavy as 229.

Fury has to be one of the worst possible matchups for Liston.
But the Wilder fight will help tremendously in better assessment.
