Liston wide UD or TKO Stop by ringside doctor where Vitalis face looks like a bloody mass , much worse than against Lewis. Vitali = way overrated Power and his Chin also. Has his best fight against an overweight ex champ and lose. makes no difference that old timers are way more resistant , stronger and tough and thats a fact Boxing rules in older times was inhuman Hell , guys like Armstrong make 20 rounds fights and dont have eating for days because they have no money. In Ketchel , Dempsey times , someone was forced with a loaded gun in the back in the ring (dont know who , it was against a Stanley Ketchel fight) It was overall miles harder , today its very easy to life.
Pls, VK quit against Chris Byrd blaming an injured shoulder. Fixing one hand at his backside and he will cry foul of murica injustice
Liston was a criminal, had connection with mob boss and had already quit in his previous fight. People expected nothing good from him. On the other hand, VK was a rising contender and epitome of manliness and yet he quit against a former super middleweight. See the difference here, pal?
There is no reason from any of Liston's fight that would make me believe that he could get past Vlad or Vitali, his best win was Patterson and I honest dont see Floyd lasting too long vs either Klitschko. Sonny was a big guy for his era at 6' 1/2 inch and 210 but where his strengths were against Patterson do not play out against the K's....Sonny gets stopped
Did you hear the news? Pacquiao got a shouldier injury and need surgery and a 9 months layoff. Did you see him quit in his fight with Mayweather which he got outclassed badly? VK, like you said, was winning every round up to that point and could simply walk around holding, hugging for 3 more rounds to get a decision. The point is both Liston and VK don't have much in the heart department and we need to look at their other attributes instead. Liston is clearly a better technician so I pick him to win a decision.
If Liston didn't take a dive in the first fight, he quit while behind 3-2-1 and was clearly rocked by Ali. If Liston didn't take a dive in the 2nd fight he's chin is an issue, and not as good as his fans think. Difficult to say, but his fight with Martin was out cold for about a minute.
This is what Americans think about Soccer. It's not a sport unless you use you hands. Well- The goal tenders do and they are taller. This content is protected According to this data, the average world cup soccer player is roughly six feet tall. Well thank you for quoting this five year old post to tell me a 32 year old joke and let me know that America has no interest in the world's most popular sport.
It suited the thread. And by the way did you notice I pointed out the average height in the world cup is about 6 foot for player? Here in the USA, soccer is viewed as a *()$$* sport. Guys faking injuries for yellow or red cards only to quickly get up and start running when it's obvious they are not getting the call. SMH. The offside rules needs work. Play your man. If the American men had interest in the sport, we'd win the world cup sooner or later. Only women here focus on soccer as a sport to take them somewhere. Look at those results. Yeah, Soccer is played world wide. One ball and four cones don't cost much money.
Liston had a just plain better, heavier, more often stepped-into jab, and was easily the better puncher. If we take the Liston of Patterson II, Vitali won't make it out of the 4th round. Liston was nearly as good as Lewis overall at his best, and was far less cautious. Vitali would be a bloody, pulp'd mess, though he'd probably do a decent job of keeping Sonny off him for a couple of rounds. Ultimately it would be far too much for him, too overwhelming an assault.
