    If that fight was filmed in black and white and dated 1930s, they'd be a load of people on this forum having a field ridiculing the both of them.

    Yes, and if he fought in the 1930s, he'd be cited by some people here as PROOF that heavyweights couldn't box for **** in that era.

    Vitali is ridiculously overrated. His skills were no better than say Joe Bugner or Jerrie Coatzee!

    I don't think he was as skillful as Bugner.
    Bigger and stronger though, and more consistently determined.

    Coetzee was a better puncher than both. But chinnier too.

    I guess they all sit around the same level.

    Right. Only thing Vitali was very tall and knew how use his size to hos advantage. He knew how to control the range too. But as far as pure skills, I am not too impressed either, so I see what you are saying.
