Cliched but it’s a very bad stylistic match up for Joe. The cherry on top for Liston is the fact that Joe was a slow starter and so much more vulnerable in the opening 1 - 2 rounds.

Just imo, this is a fight in which it would be very prudent of Liston to jump on his man from the get go for an optimal outcome - though a patient Sonny could still win clearly over a number of more rounds.

No QUIT in Joe Frazier...he beat Ali in the FOTC on March 8, 1971...boxing historians...(real ones)...say that FOTC Frazier would have been hell for any other heavyweight champ on that night! Liston QUIT in '64...and then took a DIVE in '65 against the light hitting Ali....a little lacking in the "heart' department...FOTC Frazier takes him apart slowly. He'd give Sonny a REASON to quit!
