Sonny Liston would KO Wladimir Klitschko like he did KO Cleveland Williams

Based on exhibitions, stare-downs, sparring and fake measurements, Williams and Liston are both ATG's. But Frazier is actually a real one, in the real ring, in real fights. :tong :bananamaniac

    Wlad would stop Liston.

Assuming we mean Wlad with Steward.

Wlad with Steward or not with Steward, no difference. Their phony hyped up boxing heroes of the past never even fought one single Russian or eastern European, nor did they fight any expat Cubans or black Africans. They weren't "world champions" at all. Plus they were much smaller. Plus none of them were as totally dominant as the Klitschkos. Most of them were in many very close fights, and in the case of Clay-Ali many "controversial" - to put it politely - wins.

    It makes a big difference.

Wlad with Steward keeps distance, dictates the fight and wins with power and technique. Wlad without Steward engages in a Brawl with Liston and wakes up an hour later with no re-collection of that week.

I'd go as far as any.

Styles don't bode well for Liston here. I think he gets kept on the end of that damn jab all night, and maybe stopped. Though thinking about it, I think the threat of Sonny's power means Wlad plays it super safe and limits all engagement. Boring fight. Steward screams at him in the corner to finish it, you know the drill.

Mike Tyson would do VERY well with Wlad IMO, Liston would not.

Yeah, I think even the defensively improved Volo matches up horribly with Tyson and gets buggered inside the first half.

    That wasn't necessary. :sad2

Liston, Ali, Frazier, Louis, the over-hyped whole lot of them, not even in the same league as the amazing K brothers, the greatest heavyweights of all time. They'd be like little kids in the ring with them.

Steward was in Wlad's corner when Brewster beat him.

That's the thing with Wlad...he was dominating the fight without question, and he nearly had Brewster out of there. He was busting Brewster up good.
Then, one or two hard punches from Brewster in the 5th, and Wlad is all but gone.
It's hard to pick him against a lot of guys, because he has that huge weakness.

You're crazier than a shlt house rat! Let's be honest... Cleveland Williams kinda sucked. Williams was and still is overrated.

6'3" with an 80" reach. His best weight was around 210-215 Lbs. He weighed as much as 236 Lbs and as little as 190 Lbs.

He was knocked down twice and outboxed by the 8-3 Sylvester Jones, L4. Williams was 27-0 at the time. Williams did stop him in 7 rounds in their rematch.

He was knocked down twice and stopped in 3 rounds by LHW Bob Satterfield.

He was knocked down twice and stopped in 3 rounds by Liston. In their rematch Williams was knocked down once and stopped in 2 rounds.

He was totally dominated and stopped in 3 rounds by Ali. He went 13-7 (7) after Ali and was stopped 3 more times.

So, what did Williams do? Williams beat the likes of John Holman KO7, Frankie Daniels W10 x2, Ernie Cab KO3, Wayne Bethea W10, and Alex Miteff KO5... so what!

Then, he beat Enie Terrell KO7 and later drew with Eddie Machen, D10. He lost to Terrell in their rematch, LSD10.

So... take away the win over Terrell and the draw vs. Machen and what do you have? Not much IMO!

    Now... what has Klitschko done?
