You calling me ignorant ? Oh the irony ! I have already given a logical answer to
your ( agenda driven ) thread.
Surely even you can grasp it ?

I think Lennox Lewis could beat all of Listons opponents in one calendar year. He certainly wouldn’t almost foul out against Machen

Patterson would be a long shot. He’d have roughly a 1/4 chance of beating himself twice and the odds of getting those other wins in succession send him down to less than 10%.

I've always wondered how Patterson would've done with Machen when he was the number one contender.

I would imagine there are more who wouldn’t than you might think. Looking at the list:

    - Floyd Patterson x 2
    - Cleveland Williams x 2
    - Zora Folley
    - Eddie Machen
    - Nino Valdez
    - Mike Dejohn
    - Roy Harris

Note - almost everyone on that list was prime except for Valdez and even HE was winning a lot going into that fight. Yes, there quite a few men I’d pick to beat that list but most of them are great fighters and most of them wouldn’t do it in the devastating fashion that Liston did.

You've obviously never watched Liston if you think he was a "slow slow man."

Where on your all time list is the cut off line in your opinion? Could all of your top 10 pull off this feat? top 20? top 30? Who is the least great boxer who you think could still pull this run off? Just want to make clear I understand the extent of what "good to very good" means.

I think Mike Weaver could do it, Ray Mercer maybe, Thomas Tucker- that tier of guys. I think some of my top ten could do Listons key wins in a calendar year.
