Sonny was a poet also, That Clay is one smooth fella, There is so much more I can tell ya I'm gonna kill him.
No,,,,,,,,,,,,Mr. REZ, I think Sonny said, he really just wanted to shove his fist down Cassius Clay's throat,,,,,,,,,,,and then see how the doctors at Miami Hospital would remove the glove...........all in fun............
That video is compelling proof, for starters. Okay, he wasn't necessarily literally "gay" in the sense that he actually had sex with males, but he was a typical theatrical effiminate boy, who grew up going to dance and acting classes. You think he's some tough guy because he got in trouble with the cops as a kid ? ****, a load of pussys and fairy-boys get into trouble with the law. Getting arrested doesn't make you a hardened criminal or serious gangster. He wasn't a real thug, those are just lyrics. His fame as an artist found him in a position to act out the role, and gravitate towards real criminal elements, which he obviously didn't excel at. His mother was involved in the Black Panther cause, and Tupac used that for street cred. But anyone who needs to use their mummy for street cred is obviously not a true badass. Yes, I called Tupac "a bit gay" and "a wannabe gangster". Absolutely. The evidence is compelling.
I would lean more towards 'a fancy boy',,,,,on '2-Pak' He found a 'niche' in the hip-hop world, and rode with it. Talented,,,,,,,not really just a 'flash-in-the-pan'
That will do. "Fancy boy", "theatrical type" ... An effiminate "metro-sexual" ! He wasn't really "cool", but his music and act was very good within the genre.
'Fancy-boy'..........one who wants attention through a change of style, thinking that they are on the cutting-edge, when in reality, it is just something new for its period, soon to be passed by another change in style. When death occurs to a 'fancy-boy' during their 'fame period' a legend develops creating a myth that some can feed on, because they themselves lack an individuality.
I agree with that 100% Tupac certainly fits that category. Kind of the opposite of Sonny Liston, who was too real for his own good, and unlucky to have a personality and background that were becoming very unfashionable and politically 'incorrect' at the exact time he rose to fame. Despite him being a 'cool cat', he was no-go with the mainstream culture, and not really cut-out for an 'image makeover'. Unfortunate really. He comes around 20 years earlier or 10 years later and he would have been appreciated far more.
I think it was just pre-fight hype. But it would certainly have been a worthy experiment. It's a fairly interesting question : what is bigger - Liston's gloved fist OR Ali's mouth ?
He was a criminal who got shot two seperate occasions, beat people up, raped a woman, and hung out with gansters and claimed to be one. That living a phony gangster life... not really.
In the moment and in person, Sonny was a 'cool cat', but in the Media,,,,,,,,,,portrayed as a 'thug'. But rightfully so,, Charles Liston,,,,,,,could never change his past and evil doings. But, with the correct public relations firm,,,,,,,,,anything is/was possible.
