Sons of Cuba is a 2009 documentary feature film set in the Havana Boxing Academy. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BajhUHdLQw[/ame] This film looks awesome. Check out some of the training these kids go through. Full contact sparring with no headgear, tough little ****ers. Some really good boxers The films not getting a wide release in the UK but has 100 screens in Cuba. Awesome music as well. http://www.sonsofcuba.com/
Looks good. Anyone know why all cuban boxers are black? Does the govt. put them in there because there naturally good or what? I've never seen a spanish or white cuban in any amateur boxing videos they have.
it is being released, just very limited. if u go to the website, it has the screenings listed, only about 2 days at each venue. glasgow, edin, london, newcastle, a few more - showing on march and april dates
Sometimes I forget these Cubans are even human. Seeing these makes you realize that these kids do struggle to be what they are in the olympics
Some of my all time favs have come from cuba,i have great respect for cuban boxing and for cuban boxers.
that lil ***** at the end in blue looked like a mini Money. I can only dream and imagine what kind of beast Money was at that age.
It's because most Cuban Boxer's are from the Oriente Provence, where most Cubans there are Black. The joke is that Castro sent the White people to Collage and the Black people to the Gym.
Watched the whole hing on Youtube about a month ago! Great Documentary.. Very tough young fellas they really struggle, dunno how they have the energy to train like they do seen as theyre fed **** all and lunch is consists of a hard boiled egg and water.
