I haven't watched this online because I've pre-ordered the dvd, which is released later this month in the UK. I've only heard great things about it - can't wait til it arrives on my doorstep.
Dímelo compatriota... Wow, I don't know what they were counting in that census in Cuba brother, because all you have to do is watch some Cuban television and you can definitely see that more than half of the Cubans are Black and mulatos. I am sure that what they believe in Cuba to be a " white person " it's actually a very white looking light person but in reality that's not a white at all. A white person is a Spanish descendant ( meaning soft straight hair and not having any black at all back in their family tree ), and those are very hard to find in Cuba already! THEY ARE ALL IN MIAMI !!! The Miami based study is way more accurate than the Cuban one!!! :good
Here it goes again, I will keep on posting these FACTS until that myth is removed from people's mind. Here it is again, YOUNG CUBAN BOXERS WINNING GOLD... I want to hear his excuse after reading this list... Anybody hating on the greatness that is Cuban boxing training is insane. When did Cubans get known for having glass jaws??
True, I am beginning to see your point! I placed the list and he has'nt come back...I wonder why? :huh
GE, we know why some fans r like that with boxers from Cuba, for 50+ years we didn't have any countryman to root for, since 1996 some Cubans standouts had arrived to d USA, some had live to their potential like Casamayor, others for some managerials reason has not, Hurtado, and others just went to d civilian side, garbey, Ledon, etc..but those that came first has pave d way for the new wave of Cubans fighters, fighters that r more dedicated than those before them, still d road is full of bumps and craters, but most of them will prevail IMO, and to get to d point I think they feel threaten, because d competition just got a little tighter and interesting. This ppl that critique the Cuban fighters, never take into considaration the road that those fighters take, to b free first and then a fighter, most of them had no family here and don't speak d language, on top of that they have to watch out for d sharks that had infested our sport since d beginning.
Basically, by the time they get here on US soil they've already gone through tougher challanges than most boxers face in or out the ring. So fighting in the ring is the easy part :hey. I feel as long as they can stay focused, we should see a bunch of new Cuban champs in the years to come. I know many Boricuas and Aztecas are threatened by the Cubans, but I welcome the challange. It will just make the sport more competitive. :bbb
