I can only think of Floyd at this moment, im sure theres much more

but it is normally the other way round..The sons normally never live up to their fathers legacy in sport. And the bigger legacy, the less likely the son will ever live up to it.

Can anyone think of any other examples where the sons achieve much more than their fathers? :huh

I personally feel Cory Spinks surpassed Leons legacy.

Jones, Tito and Mundine spring to mind immediately but there are lots more. The thing is, we know about guys like JCC Jr. from a young age but assuming Canelo's dad boxed 5 times, it would be unheard of. That's why it seems so lopsided but it isn't in reality, I'm sure.

  8. The fact is, most boxers' Dad's don't have a legacy and thus, surpass it with their first win.

His father doesnt have a legacy to begin with.

But he has surpassed his uncle Rog who's a former world champion and was a pretty good fighter.

Then he discovered crack and the rest is history.

    Cesare & Paolo Maldini

    Gilles & Jacques Villeneuve

    Bobby & Brett Hull
(Brett might not have surpassed his father as an #7 atg in ice hockey but came close)

Here is the real and lets be real, Floyd didnt out do his fathers legacy his father had no legacy his career was cut short, and though his uncle did well still ask yourself was this a defined legacy here:think

Reword the topic, Fighters who have surpassed their fathers acheivements and became legends.... no way you could argue that Sr or even Unca Roger are legends.....

Do you have to be a 'legend' to have a 'legacy'?

Honestly what legacy do these ****ers have? both Sr and Uncle?:think Sr dont have ****, and what ever Unca Roger had he smoked it all away at the local crack house and by his recent comments of Pacquiao.... but no your right one doesnt have to be a legend to have a legacy but here is the meaning of legacy I thought it may be important you understand what it means before this thread goes any further....
