    Eli Manning even getting close if he hasnt already.
    Barry Bonds.
    Clay Matthews is well on his way.
    Cal Ripken Jr.

    Roy Jones Jr. I am not sure it is rare. Many fighters come from fighting families. Oscar Delahoya was better than his father also.

    Many fighters have better boxing careers than their fathers. A lot of great fighters entered the sport because of their fathers.

    But usually when a fighter is a great fighter, or a very good ne, and has a son that enters the sport, the son isn't very good.
