    :good

    Example:

I and most Vargas fans were behind Vargas till the end, win, lose, or look ugly in the ring, I backed him up to the end.

Now that's nor fair. I agree that pinoy fans can be very fickle with their prospects but in this board alone Pinoys as well as many other people from different stripes called Viloria overrated or at the very least lazy and another hyped up Filipino prospect.

Ortiz and Banal are still young and I think that people are being too hard on them. They wilted under pressure that's fine but I think that if they have the proper trainers and plan they can both recover. If Khan who got blasted by Prescott in a single round can recover and salvage his career then I think these two can as well.

Concepcion is overhyped to a certain degree but that is what you get from sluggers. Guys like Angulo had the same type of hype behind him before he stepped up with a guy like Cintron. Concepcion was supposed to get his shot in the Hatton-Pac undercard but Luevano got injured so he'll get his shot Aug 15. Will he make it? Who knows, but I would not write him off yet!

I'm all for a match with Escalante should Concepcion win against Luevano. I'm all for quality prospects fighting against each other.

Maybe its because he was known to mostly Pinoy fans? And by the way those idiots who abandoned Viloria called him Hawaiian :nut Don't tell me that a lot of other fans who are rivals did not relish in calling Viloria a bum because they certainly did. And I would like to know where you got this 90% figure from.

Some Filipinos might be quick to abandon their fighters but a lot of other fans are also quick to label them bums as soon as they lose just as I'm sure a lot of people here would call Pac if he loses to Cotto.

And do not tell me they seldom see this in hispanics. They might not turn on their fighters as overtly but they sure know how to forget fighters. I do not see a constant stream of support for guys like Angulo or Ortiz once they lost. And let's not forget Kermit Cintron who seems to have ceased becoming a Puerto Rican for some fans.

Fact is you will get a lot of bandwagon jumpers from any fan base. I see it a lot here where I live. People will support guys like Alcine but seem to forget about him once he lost to Daniel Santos. They did not turn on him but they were sure quick to forget about the man.

These are just a few examples of what happens when a hyped fighter loses. Its not just the Filipinos that overhype their fighters but EVERYONE. I seem to remember a lot of people saying Ortiz has a chance to win against Pacquiao... perhaps but a lot of those people are gone now are they not? Is that not a case of ignorant fans of ANY Stripe overhyping their favourite fighter?

There are a lot of haters and bandwagon jumpers out there and I am fairly certain that the Philippine islands does not have a monopoly on those people.

Then again, I tend to stick with the fighters I like till the bitter end. If it weren't the case I would just abandon guys like Bautista, Molitor, Ortiz and Khan

He has a lot of potential but hes being too rushed. If he does somehow win, then we know we got someone special because he will be added to the short list of fighters who became a champion as a teenager.

Hold your horses, amigos Uliuli and Mil! Let's wait and see what this boy can do before bashing him without any bases. Have you seen him fight? I saw him in last fight and he has the moves of Donaire with his fast handspeed, power, and footwork. Btw, can you name any Mexican prospect that you can pit with out boy?

I can give that you, uliuli. You're a loyal fan. But what the heck! Boxing is about winning and losing a fight. It's probably because Pinoys are used to winning as in the case of Pacquiao, whereas Mexicans are used to losing. We expect too much from our fighters. OMG! Almost all your fighters are gone.

And how many of them lost in their last 3 fights? Quality is better than quantity, amigo. btw, you did not understand my question. I asked you who is that Mexican prospect that you can pit against my boy?
