If you are going to give me one prime heavyweight with the best chance to beat any of the others, then yes, I will take Ali.

I would consider prime Ali to be the favorite vs. anyone. Of course someone unexpected would beat him.

Then you realize Prime Mike Tyson was favored to beat everybody he faced. Prime George Foreman was favored to beat everybody he faced. Both of these guys still lost. Apparently Ali was only in his prime for 5 fights until he was 25. Ali is one of these guys like Elvis (Pedophile) Presley, Michael (Pedo) Jackson and others are/were hyped up by the media so much that people with no lives believe it.

The best fighters Ali beat before his 3 years off was old Sonny Liston and Zora Folley according to the casuals here. I don't see how beating these people made him great or close to being the greatest. Ken Norton would always beat Ali. So Ken Norton would of always been favored to beat Ali. Larry Holmes would always beat Ali. George Foreman should of beat Ali the first time and would of always beat him if they fought again. Which is why Ali ducked him. Frazier beat Ali and would of always been favored prime to prime to beat Ali. Hell if 5'10 205 pound Frazier could beat Ali then why couldn't a prime Tommy Morrison. I am not talking about this historically speaking crap you casual fans love to use. Tommy Morrison was much bigger and a much bigger puncher. Tommy Morrison fought bigger guys than Frazier. With the exception of fat Buster Mathis Sr and Bugner Frazier didn't fight many modern sized heavyweights. He got destroyed by Foreman, never fought guys like Lyle and Norton. Frazier is still known because of his win against Ali. If he never fought Ali nobody would ever talk about him. Morrison's career was destroyed by his party boy life style. But in his physical peak how could Ali keep Morrison off him when he couldn't keep the smaller , slower , weaker puncher off him? Mike Tyson would always be favored against Ali for the same reason. I am not talking about who you thought was mentally tougher. Tyson was around the same height much heavier. Tyson was much quicker and was probably a bigger puncher. If Frazier could land hooks on Ali then so could Tyson.

Ali struggled against Ken Norton because of his style. Why wouldn't other fighters who fought similar be it Evander Holyfield or others not be able to do the same thing? If Ali struggled with 180 pound Doug Jones then why wouldn't bigger guys who were better boxers not be able to do the same. Why wouldn't the 6'7 Henry Akinwande not be able to keep Ali at bay with his jab and his height? Ali didn't have the power or strength to hurt him. A in shape Buster Douglas would of been able to jab Ali's head off. I could go on.

Your a typical Ali fan, hes the greatest at every thing, you worship him, you love him, yes yes of course do you pray to him.You make up excuses for every fighter for him to beat, but your shot down,Jones beat him,he would never grant Foreman a rematch, your comparing Terell to the KLITS,Bowe,Holeyfield hope you enjoy heaven with him

Lol agreed. You see how they keep saying Ali was past his prime at 28 years old but according to the same people no other fighter in heavyweight history was past their prime at 28? You how they dismiss Ali being almost knocked out by 190 pound Henry Cooper. You see how they dismiss Ken Norton beating Ali even though Ali himself flat out stated Ken Norton beat him all time and he knew he could never legit beat him no matter when they fought. As you stated he refused to fight Foreman in a rematch even though he gave other fighters rematches. As you stated that will try to compare Ernie Terrell to Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis and others to try to rationalize their point.

I would back peak Ali against anyone. It's possible he might lose somewhere but i'd be on him.

Quite possibly. Despite the fact casual fans will tell you Ali was domination a old Liston the fact was even at the time Liston quit. This is a old Liston who flat out didn't train for Ali in the slightest. Logic will dictate the a younger Liston who trained would beat Ali.

Dude, you have a killer forum name. The thing about Liston is...it's just that he looked so bad against Ali, and forgive me if I'm wrong he was around 34 when that fight happened (by contrast, Holmes looked damn good beating Cooney at that age...even Ali stopped a top rated contender like Ron Lyle at that age). I'd be more inclined to agree with you if Liston had fought Ali the first time past 37.

Riddick Bowe would beat him. Joe Frazier, Ken Norton and Doug Jones all did beat him. If Foreman wasn't so arrogant because of how easily he destroyed Ken Norton and Joe Frazier he would of beat him. A in shape Buster Douglas would beat Ali. Tommy Morrison would beat him. Tony Tucker would beat him. Henry Akwinande would beat Ali. Larry Donald would beat him. The list goes on and on.

obviously theres some who beat him, no guy is perfect. but they would be tight fights worthy of a rematch.

but if u had to pick one who could get LEAST beaten in a round robin , Ali and Louis would figure there, and maybe Holmes. simply because they so rarely were despite being in the thick of elite battles.
