To be honest I've always thought Arreola is overrated.
In his prime the man in your avatar would have whipped him over 12.

 

Tyson, Lewis, Klitshckos, all got criticized. That's the way it is.

 

The man in my avatar is what changed my view on boxing. But I've been on board since I could hear my neighbors talking about Ali on black and white TV when I was a kid.

I thought Arreola fought more "balls out" against Tomasz than he did against Vitali.

 

I concur about the way Arreola fought, but I think that was a result that Adamek didn't hurt him as much with his punches as Vitali did.

Adamek should stay a heavyweight until somebody beats him so bad it's obvious he doesn't belong.

I honestly can't see that many doing that.

The guys (apart from Vitaly and Wlad) that are bigger than him, are generally pretty slow and/or fat, and not that skilled.

Somebody like Tony Thomson ( i watched him beat Beck the other day) would be awkward, but his punches are pretty wide, and while they might be heavy, are slooooooooooooow. none of his punches have any snap at all.

Adamek could compete without doubt with fighters like that.

Can people stop saying that. Every betting site I've seen since the fight had Adamek as betting favourite against Arreola. I haven't seen one where Arreola was favourite.

I doubt Haye would want to fight Adamek. Too high a risk for the reward. I think Haye would win, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Adamek win. Not what I would call a shocking upset.

If Chris Byrd can compete at heavy, and Chambers, I don't see why Adamek can't either.

In fact, a flood of cruiserweights might be thinking something similar right now.

It's not like this is unheard of really. Moorer came from light heavy, as have plenty of guys. It's not a crazy jump in weight by any stretch of the imagination.
