Bradley is a young star signed to Top Rank who up to this point has no real fanbase. His contractually obligated rematch carried fewer demands than the aging Marquez's and he's locked into a long-term deal with the company. If you don't see the upside of giving him the Pacquiao feather in his cap, especially since Pacquiao probably has 3 fights max left, then I'm not sure you're looking very hard.
I honestly can't tell you the last Top Rank PPV I bought. His "in house" fights suck. Anyone that buys this rematch is an idiot. And I love the way he tries to hide his PPV numbers also. The guy is a joke.
the hidden story is that vegas wants to win money off pacquiao. the mafia is losing money because pac always wins. with the bradley win, they m ade a killing. surely, miilions changed hand easily. it is business as usual. boxing should never go to scorecards. afterall, nobody believes them anyway. fighters should fight for 12 rounds and if no one gets knocked out, it should be a no decision. the bonus is that there should be a considerable money for whoever knocks out anyone, and extra money for knockdowns. that would give us exciting fights.
yeah, you may not as would any other sensible person. but there are enough fools out who will pay to see pac "avenge his defeat". sad thing is that piece of **** arum may have not been the only one in on it. seems like they all were in on the scam. boxing further loses creditability.
You have a good arguement, but imo Arum gains more by Bradley winning. Its more about Pac,Bob is searching for a new cash cow,he gains from millions of people who didn't even know who Bradley was, actually knowing his name now. If Pac won a split decision than he still would want to go on to floyd, giving Pac the loss he almost guarantees a rematch. Another inhouse fight where Bob gets filthy rich. Pac is running out of opponents, and the interest in a pac marquez 4 doesn't seem to high, and for whatever reasons Arum doesn't want the Floyd fight now, why not give Pac a loss to avenge??
I'll watch it, think it'll be a good fight. Alot of rematches ain't as good as the first with both guys figuring each other out and not wanting to go to war, I think Pac would absolutely bring it to Bradley and he'd be forced to trade back ala the first half of the fight. This loss could have been the kick up the arse Pac needed.
You were doing well until you said that atsch that has to be one of the most ******ed things i've read all day.
If we are gonna go real old school, why not fights to the finish:smoke I always did want to see Marciano vs Frazier in a fight to the finish :bbb
