You hold two belts and be mandatory to another belt dummy.

I may well be wrong but if you weigh between 154-160 you're a middleweight, that is the weight division.

Of course you have small middleweight and big middleweights but if you are in that weight bracket you are a middleweight.

If you are calling yourself the WBC Middleweight Champion like Cotto is and Canelo will do if he wins then you can't turn around and say I'm not a middleweight, it's a ridiculous statement, if Cotto isn't a middleweight then go and fight Canelo at 154.

I explained the situation to you. You didn't want to understand.

Cotto is a catchweight champ. No MW that fought him was allowed to make the MW limit.

The belt has nothing to do with Canelo fighting Cotto.

Again  answer the two questions I asked, my questions didn't require a "situation".

They were two very simple yes or no questions.

Give it up, you are starting to look childish and rather foolish.

What the f**** are you talking about? I said 160 is better than 154 and 168 and you claimed I DKSAB. I asked you to explain why my statement wasn't true but you talked out of your ass, as always.

Taylor had only lost to Pavlik at MW at that point and went on to outclass Lacy, who had only lost to world champ Joe Calzaghe at that point.
Miranda indeed broke AA's jaw in that fight, to his credit he toughed it out and got the win.

Pascal went on to be LHW champ, besting Chad Dawson, drawing in a fight with Bernard Hopkins, beating Bute.

Posters are basing that on a boxrec result. Froch clearly won that fight vs Johnson.

Manny Siaca and Markus Beyer were winning SMW titles back then. How could it be considered stronger than when Froch, Ward, Kessler and Bute were winning them?

Have you ever noticed how you cannot make a single post without being berated, insulted or laughed at? Do you really think that everybody else is the dumb one? Do you really think that you are thinking at such a high level that nobody else can truly understand boxing the way it is and the way you see it? Do you really, honestly believe that you are not a stupid mother****er?

We aren't talking about now, which is clearly weak. Even weaker than in the early 00's, as you don't even have a Calzaghe or even an Ottke around. We're talking 3, 4 years ago. The division was never as strong as it was when it had Ward, Kessler, Froch and Bute on top of their games.

The fight wasn't that close. He didn't struggle.

You call that challenging Bute? Magee got waxed as I remember it.

Examples that can just as easily be provided by looking at some of the weak challengers that were getting title shots back then..... but what's the point?
It isn't only about winning titles. There are a lot of instances where journeymen fighters are able to grab a title.

Brinkley? Again, it's been shown that guys can work their way through an alphabet orgs ranks and make themselves a contender for a title. Brinkley was no different from a guys like Veit or other guys of equal quality. They work their way up, they get a shot.
Not quite. There were no other fighters of the level of Froch, Kessler, Bute, etc. during Calzaghe's reign. Not until Kessler came along. Calzaghe, much like Ward, showed that he was a level above those guys. Those guys, in turn, were a level of above the rest. That's why it was a strong division. You had a bunch of world class figthers battling it out for divisional supremacy. When Calzaghe was around, none of those guys were good enough to really challenge a world class operator like him.

They are fighting for a Title but 155 is more of a non title JMW fight than a MW one but, because its for a title you have to consider it MW.

Depends on the situation really if I'm fighting at 160 and my opponent comes in 160.5 or 161, I'm not going to say he's a SMW but that's just me especially if it's not for a title.

For the purpose of this fight 155 is kinda lame if it had to be a cw 156/7 would be cool as a low point.
