It's not excuses, I just personally don't rate his opponents as good as the Cal huggers do.

Outside of Hopkins, there is no one REALLY special. And fact is, he IS 43-years-old. And going by all the Cal huggers "90% claimed Lacy was going to win beforehand" criteria - 90% thought that Cal was going to brutalise Hopkins before hand, cause of his age, his performance against Wright, and Cal's performance against Kess.

So we're allowed to use Hindsight for Hops cause it benefits Cal, but not for Lacy cause it doesn't benefit him?

    :huh Confusing.

    I disagree.

There was a large portion of "experts" who weren't sold on Lennox (particularly his chin), and thought that Tyson would stop him.

There's a reason why that was the biggest HW fight since Tyson-Holyfield.

His last couple of opponents speak for themseves ..If you want to discredit them because of a personal dislike thats fine but no one would being saying half the crap they are saying now if Joe had loss to any of those opponents !

If Hopkins won no one would have questioned his age ..

If Lacy won he would have been dubbed the next Mike Tyson and a p4p top 10..

If Kessler won he would have as much hype as Kelly Pavlik gets now ..

You don't have to be a Calzaghe fan to give credit to those wins but I find it convenient that a Calzaghe hater picks apart everything the man does ..

Calzaghe's resume isnt the best, but its not that bad, the main thing is he beat what was put in front of him and that includes the dangerous Tocker Pudwill & Rick Thornberry.....

But for boxing in the British Isles the man is a true legend, at the end of the day boxing is about the fans, and in that respect Joe's suceeded he's kept his fans happy and they love him . Cant people just let his fans celebrate hia greatness a bit longer, because i tell you now, it will be a hell of a long time before we see a fighter of his likes in Britain when he's retired.

thats true, but you have to admit the name Tocker Pudwill has a comical ring to it, sounds like a right treacle.

    Very close, resume wise.

H2H, I'd go for Cal by KO.
