He should have done a Timothy Bradley and wait for Mayweather Jr. Instead he took a useless risk and is fighting Peterson again for chump change.

Meanwhile Timothy Bradley was patient, waited his turn, Stayed classy, signed with TR in order to get a fight with Pacquiao. Now, HE's got the biggest money making fight of his career.

Oh well, have fun watching Peterson II. Bring a pillow in case you fall asleep.

Peterson was a lower half top 10 guy at 140 anyhow. It was pointless for Team Khan to fight him as his last fight at the weight, which is what they said repeatedly leading into the fight. It would have proven little had he won, and it ends up proving a great deal that he struggled mightily, even if I scored the fight to him.

He should have jumped straight up to 147. Could have fought M. Hatton @ 147 and Prescott @ 147 (very low risk, financially lucrative in Britain, regardless of weight he could have redeemed the Prescott blowout) AND gotten the May 5th date vs. Mayweather.

It's a massive risk. But how can you say it's useless?? It's a make or break fight for him, so far from useless.

He took the fight with Peterson in the first place since Bradley ducked him and he wanted to beat him in a more convincing style than Bradley did. Backfired on him big time but now he is trying to erase that.

Ye well done to Bradley for being a sell out and not proving to the fans who was the best at 140lb :good

Bradley getting the Pacquiao fight though was a matter of pure contingency. He was never the first choice.

Pac is still the lineal champ at 140..that fight doesn't prove anything except owning a LOT of belts.

I think you'd sell out to for a chance to make the most money ever in your career.

This a warrior sport, Khan is a warrior, Khan won't sell his soul to get the money fights, he will fight his way up there not sit out and ***** ass his way up there.

Plus Khan still got way more money than Bradley anyway, Khan is living good.

Arum can dress it up however he wants now, but if Cotto agreed to boil down again or Marquez was less demanding Bradley would be stuck waiting around for another 6 months at least.

Circumstance has favoured bradley here because the man he dominated before unifying the 3 belts has just beaten khan so bradley is kind of the default number 1.

What's ts talking about saying pac is the champ at lww? Is he a newbie?

I was wondering the same thing. When's the last time Pac fought at 140lb? TS can you explain how he is lineal champ at 140? Maybe I'm missing something :huh
